Follows universal precautions including the use of gloves, gowns and masks as appropriate. Cleans and disinfects between each patient and can perform/document high level disinfection appropriately. Consistently indicates in Magview that infection control was completed prior to the start of the exam. Keeps work area, waiting rooms and dressing rooms clean and tidy and stocks work area with laundry and medical supplies on a daily basis.
Maintains Mammography, Stereotactic and/or Bone Density Department quality control standards and updates all necessary logs. Initiates equipment service requests and notifies supervisor as necessary. Actively participates in Time Out procedures required for certain exams. Able to perform quality control tests per ACR requirements and reboot/shutdown systems per manufacturer guidelines.
Able to recognize specific psychological (ie. anxiety) and/or physical needs of patients and determine when further assistance is needed. Promptly responds to situations which require a timely response and documents relevant information on incident forms. Radiologic Technologist Duties

Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Radiologic Technologist Duties

Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members
Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order. Report equipment malfunctions to Center Operations Director
Ensure all Radiology workflows are followed and all Radiology reports cross correctly to EMR
Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient x-ray visit.
Maintain all x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures
Medical Assistant Duties
Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing and respirator fit testing (in accordance with state regulations)
Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.)
Assist providers during examination and treatment
Responsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician as well as triaging emergent patients as needed
Prepare and assist clinician with procedure set up and injury care
Apply bandages, dressings and splints as ordered by the treating clinician

Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices as well as testing processes used in the center
Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms

Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or facility is not operating as expected
In partnership with center leadership, assist with patient flow and volume

Radiologic technician job in Fairfield, CT
General Description
Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager, the Radiology Technologist participates in the clerical and technical work components of the department in accordance with office policies and procedures and prescribed radiation safety procedures. The Radiology Technologist maintains patient confidentiality and ensures that the delivery of radiology services is professional, timely and accurate at all times.
Responsibilities:
Escorts patients to and from the x-ray department.
Takes x-rays as directed by ordering physician.
May be required to learn to operate a c-arm for pain injection procedures
Sets up studies on digital imaging CR unit and DR unit.
Schedules, documents and coordinates out-patient ultrasounds, when ordered.
Provides CD of images, when requested.
Printing of surgery films requested by providers
Logs exams received from outside facilities.
Reports problems with CR and DR units to Supervisor.
Notifies supervisor when supplies are low.
Maintains a clean and well organized work area at all times.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be flexible with location assignment (Shelton, Fairfield, and on occasion to the Milford office)
Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program and American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry.
Connecticut state Radiographer license required.
Experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred. New grads eligible to apply.
Experience in orthopedic procedures preferred.
Experience with digital imaging a plus.

Our client is looking to add a RAD Tech to their team. The RAD Tech will produce diagnostic images during examinations by positioning patients based on each individual's needs. Under the direction of the head of the department, the RAD Tech will maintain an orderly room and processes set by the medical facility.
