Job Responsibilities:
Performs diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols while utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures.
Adheres to organizational customer service standards and supports the organizational excellence initiatives.
Provides positive and effective interaction and communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
Performs ancillary services and assists in patient care areas as necessary. -Other duties as assigned.
Performs radiologic/fluoroscopic procedures accurately and efficiently with the least amount of discomfort to the patient.
Explains exam to patient.
Interviews patient to obtain personal medical history, documenting this information into RIS.
Provides clear explanation and instruction to patient. -Assists patient throughout exam.
Required Qualifications:
1+ years of relevant experience.
ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology.
Current State of WI license as a Radiographer.
BLS Certification through AHA.

Schedule: 40 hours/week - Monday - Friday - 2nd shift - 3PM-11PM
Weekly Gross: $2,540; W2 pay hourly- $25.00; Weekly stipend - $1540
Local Pay: $50-$55/hour

Previous experience as an X-ray technologist, preferably in an orthopedic or hospital setting.
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
Possess a valid, current, unrestricted Wisconsin state radiation operator certificate (with no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions)
Current CPR/AED certification.
Proficient in operating X-ray equipment and related technology.
Strong understanding of anatomy, particularly the musculoskeletal system.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to safely lift and position patients for imaging procedures.
Possess a working knowledge of EPIC and PACS.

Work Environment
The primary work environment is in the radiology department, equipped with advanced imaging technology. The technologist interacts with a variety of patients. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care is often. Must be willing to travel between offices and work flexible days and hours as needed. The job is physically demanding, involving lifting and positioning patients, standing for long periods, and operating heavy equipment. Strict adherence to radiation safety protocols is crucial to minimize exposure for patients, technologists, and other staff. Ability to manage stress and remain calm under pressure, especially during fast-paced peak hours.

Summary
Performs all x-ray examinations independently following established protocols and procedures. Provide quality patient care while ensuring all x-ray safety standards are observed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Take clear and accurate x-rays for use in diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury.
* Understand individual physician protocols for views.
* Limit radiation to patients through use of shielding devices and equipment settings.
* Provide safe and quality care to patients through verbal and physical interactions.
* Utilize quality assurance techniques to limit the necessity to retake views.
* Process patient studies in exam rooms.
* Accurately document services provided for clinical and billing purposes
* Understand how to use, clean and store equipment in order to reduce malfunctions. Report malfunctions to Manager immediately.
* Process films, CDs and/or paper in response to patient requests for files.
* Maintain, clean and stock all necessary supplies in x-ray rooms.
* Pull x-ray records for patients who have upcoming scheduled appointments, ensuring that any films needed by the physician are available for review. Update, file and/or scan patient records as necessary.
