Review and evaluate images for clarity, density, and contrast, adjusting as necessary. Ensure images are of high diagnostic quality for interpretation. Follow physician-specific protocols when performing x-ray exams and communicate updates as needed. Accurately document and record patient information and imaging details in EPIC. Submit images to PACS and maintain radiation logs for the State of Wisconsin. Prepare imaging copies for patients, outside providers, attorneys, etc. Communicate effectively with immediate coworkers as well as those throughout the clinic. Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to ensure accurate interpretation of images. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the radiology room and equipment following infection control protocols. Operate C-Arm equipment in both aseptic and sterile environments when assigned. Work Environment The primary work environment is in the radiology department, equipped with advanced imaging technology. The technologist interacts with a variety of patients. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care is often. Must be willing to travel between offices and work flexible days and hours as needed.
