Responsibilities:
Ability to fulfill all responsibilities of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist position as detailed in the specific Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist job description.

Ability to address minor maintenance issues with the machines, and to follow up with nurse coordinator (or Clinic Director in their absence) for consultation prior to any outsourcing calls.
Monitor the condition of the cassettes and other equipment in the x-ray room for signs of wear or malfunction and submit problems found as soon as possible to the Imaging Director so the issues can be rectified. Cassettes, chest bucky, and exam table are to be cleaned after each use to avoid cross contamination
Maintains and distributes pregnancy waiver forms where applicable.
Triage patients by checking and recording vitals, collect and record pertinent clinical history and all other information deemed necessary for proper charting in the EMS. Performblood draws, give injections, administer oral medications and perform other basic nursing tasks when not directly in the course of a radio graphical exam if applicable in your state.
Monitors and reads X-Ray badge monthly.
Radiation Monitors must be worn at all times when in the X-Ray room and maintain reporting as required.
Responsible for learning the aspects of compliance in the company by completing all mandatory compliance training.
Welcome new employees on their first day in the clinic and facilitate introductions to team members, clinic tours, and an overview of the clinic processes.

What you will do:
Perform a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated anatomical areas of interest. Adjust equipment for proper radiographic exposure techniques in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.
Explain x-ray procedures to patients.
Position patients for each anatomical view using positioning assistance devices and protective equipment as necessary.

Summary:
The CT Technologist produces diagnostic CT scans under the clinical direction of a Radiologist while taking responsibility for film quality, patient care, safety, sterile technique and providing education for staff and students. The CT Tech participates in other necessary activities in support of departmental operations.
Responsibilities:
Patient Identification- Uses professional manners and methods, verifies patient identification, obtains patient history, assists patients and family members that require extra attention, insures patient understanding whenever possible, and insures patient safety. Verifies patient identification, asks and documents pregnancy status on patients of child bearing age
CT Scans- Obtains images per protocols, manipulates images according to protocols, performs multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data, demonstrates a thorough knowledge of CT algorithms, and selects appropriate window and level setting according to anatomy.
Contrast- Administers oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to protocols, establishes intravenous lines, administers IV contrast following safe and proper injection procedures, follows correct procedure to determine contrast eligibility, checks appropriate lab values before contrast injection per protocol.
Image Transfer- Maintains thorough understanding of PACS, and transmits images to QC, UNCH's EMR, EPIC and PACS, verifies and segments images at the QC station, accesses IMPAX service tools to verify images transmission, completes, modifies and/or cancels orders in an appropriate and timely manner, cancels duplicate orders to avoid duplicate billing. Insures that all charge information is accurate. Verifies patient identification in accordance with UNC policy, insures that all appropriate demographic information is accurate and on the PACS images.

Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members

Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient x-ray visit.
Maintain all x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures
Medical Assistant Duties
Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing and respirator fit testing (in accordance with state regulations)
Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.)
Assist providers during examination and treatment
Responsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician as well as triaging emergent patients as needed

Ensure accuracy in documentation
Perform front office duties: greet patients, obtain authorization, check in/out, communicate wait times, answer multi-line telephone system, and distribute employer results/paperwork as needed

A-Team Solutions LLC is seeking Radiology Tech's for part time positions to support the
VA National Teleradiology Program. Shifts would be Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays (8) eight-hour shifts.
The DRTs will be stationed at the NTP reading center in Durham, NC. This work will require VA network access to use the NTP Picture Archive & Communication System (PACS) medical application. Services include clinical duties in diagnostic imaging quality control, image/case review and processing, prior retrieval based on clinical history, critical callback-notification and clinical consultation. The DRTs will work closely with NTP Radiologists, NTP PACS Assistants and PACS Administrators to assure optimum quality control, complete case processing and timely report transmissions are completed within targeted turn-around times
Tour of duty will be 3 - 8 hour shifts per week on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons through evenings. Start times will be set according to NTP operational needs and can range from 10 am at the earliest start time, to 4 pm which will be the latest start time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent works under the direction of senior clinical/technical staff for general guidance and directly supports NTP Radiologists in day to day image/report preparation and processing. The position also coordinates work with clinical and technical staff at sites being served by NTP to assist in resolution of technical or clinical issues.
b. The incumbent's principal responsibilities are to prepare and organize teleradiology cases sent digitally from remote sites to the NTP reading centers for interpretation. He/she will need to interact with NTP teleradiologists working from other locations. Weekend, holiday and shift work will be required for this position to ensure coverage during hours of NTP operations (24x7x365).
c. The incumbent will organize cases for NTP Radiologists; ensure case completeness including retrieval of prior exams; advise and assist remote radiologic technologists at other VA facility locations in the preparation, case edit, and transmission of images. The incumbent will review cases sent to NTP to determine if they are complete, ensure the area of interest has been adequately imaged, validate that the expected number of images have been received, validate that the appropriate post processing reformats have been transmitted if applicable and based on clinical history, ensure that the relevant priors have been made available to NTP Radiologists. Incumbent facilitates communication between NTP Radiologists and local providers for critical callbacks and consultations. The incumbent may need to instruct remote radiologic technologists by telephone to facilitate above. In order to advise remote radiologic technologists in the proper preparation of studies for NTP, the incumbent will need to possess knowledge of the environment and day to day role of DRTs within in radiology departments.
The incumbent will problem-solve transmission issues from local Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) to NTP. Incumbent analyzes problems and determines the correct course of action required to correct problems based on NTP troubleshooting guides. The position requires fundamental knowledge of computer hardware, Radiology and PACS workflow which can be obtained through education and experience in the field.

Essential Functions:
Verbalizes and/or demonstrates knowledge of clinical information and practices essential to assuring provision of age-specific care to all age groups.
Verifies patient identification, confirms physician orders, obtains patient history / forms, assesses patient condition, explains procedures, provides patient education, and addresses patient concerns prior to performing exams.
Assures proper completion of all exams requested including documentation, charging, and proper labeling of images.
Performs a variety of radiological exams that require independent judgment and utilization of proper positioning, protocols, and techniques to obtain a quality diagnostic image to meet radiologist specifications. Identifies normal anatomy and/or unusual findings.
Demonstrates proficiency in the operation and proper handling of all diagnostic equipment. Maintains all equipment and accessories in efficient operating order; performs preventative maintenance as required, contacts service for repairs when necessary.
Maintains knowledge of contrast media and medications utilized within the department including contraindications and possible side effects. Demonstrates the ability to prepare and administer contrast according to departmental protocols. Recognizes significant adverse reactions and acts appropriately.
Prepares and assists radiologists/physicians with procedures as required. Ensures that Standard Precautions and sterile techniques are utilized.
Maintains communication and cooperation with radiologist and other ancillary departments regarding changes in protocol, scheduling of procedures, exams performed and patient flow.
Demonstrates the ability to operate all computer systems utilized within the department.
Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas, ensures rooms are stocked, and prepares rooms prior to patient entrance.
Performs clerical duties, provides clinical supervision for students and assists in patient transport as needed.
Practices radiation safety for patient and self.
Participates in departmental performance improvement activities. May be assigned specific quality assurance / quality control duties.
Rotates within the department and performs exams in multiple modalities, works various shifts and participates in call rotation as required for the proper functioning of the department.
