* Follow all safety protocols established by the National Council for Radiation Protection and Measurement (NCRP) to protect patients, staff, and oneself from radiation hazards, ensuring compliance with national standards and radiation safety in medical settings.
* Clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining equipment repairs in a timely manner and following written procedures for placing service calls.
* Perform and record quantity and quality control checks to assure x-ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules, and departmental policies.

Opens, closes, cleans, and stocks exam rooms. Autoclaves instruments.*
Answers phones, checks in/checks out patients, and processes referrals when needed.*
Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.*
Participates in required city, state, and regulatory training and meetings as assigned by the employer.*
Performs any other duties that assist in the operations of the office.*

Job Overview: Join our team as an X-Ray Technologist. Essential Duties
Prepares patients for radiologic procedures.
Protects patient, self, and other staff from radiation hazards.
Takes X-Rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, which involves setting up and operating radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients and includes implementing infection control procedures for the work area.
Selects proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis. Adjusts/sets radiographic controls.
Positions patients and takes X-Rays of specific parts of the patient's body as requested by physicians.
Create digital radiological image. Checks X-Ray images for clarity, retaking when necessary.
Upload and manage X-Rays in Medstrat.
Maintains required records including patient records, daily log books, and monthly reports.
Performs quantity and quality control checks to assure X-Ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules, and departmental policies.
Complies with safety standards.
Cleans, maintains, and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining equipment repairs.
Maintains radiographic supplies and orders as necessary.
Burn images to discs when needed by patient, and/or physicians.

Education: Requires an associate's degree from an accredited program and registration as a technologist by the A.R.R.T. Medical assistant diploma or certification from an accredited vocational institution. Must hold current state X-Ray Technology certificate or license. (ARRT or LST)
Experience: One to three years of experience as X-Ray technologist/technician, preferably in medical practice environment.
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge of X-Ray procedures and protocols.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X-Ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement.
Knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology.
Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.
Skill in following infection control and radiological safety procedures.
