RAYUS Radiology is looking for a C-arm/Radiologic Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a C-arm/Radiologic Technologist, you are responsible for operating assigned equipment to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes.
This is a temporary/PRN position working various shifts as needed Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) C-arm/Special Procedures Imaging
Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.
Explains and prepares patients for imaging procedures that will be performed; clearly explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the correct parts of their body can be appropriately imaged.
Performs routine and advanced c-arm imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury, with minimal amount of supervision, while providing continuous patient support.
Produces diagnostic images in assigned/designated area.
Adjusts x-ray and c-arm parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
Maintains a sterile environment during procedures requiring
Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations and accurately maintains records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including equipment, promoting good safety habits for patients and team members.
Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
Performs quality control tasks as assigned.
(5%) Department Support
Participates in team meetings with team member involvement
Assists in updating & maintaining all radiographic & C-arm protocols.
Answers department phone calls

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of peripheral and neuro IR experience for a Level 1 trauma setting.
Responsibilities
Work in an interventional radiology department with 4 IR rooms, including 2 single plane and 2 biplane Siemens c-arms
Handles a wide range of neurovascular and peripheral vascular procedures such as angiograms, embolizations, nephrostomy, IVC filter placement, PE thrombectomy, intracranial thrombectomy, stent placements, and central line insertions
Assigned in teams of two technologists per room, with defined scrub and circulator roles
Level 1 trauma, Level 1 PE, and Level 1 stroke center responsibilities
Cerner EMR required for charting
Day shifts: four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
On-call duty required every 3rd or 4th weekend starting Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM
Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility is required
Main responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating for procedures such as angiograms, embolizations, and advanced vascular and neurovascular interventions
Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
Up to 5 days of requested time off can be auto-approved
Local candidates are accepted for this role
Any permanent or PRN employee must have a 12-month break before being considered as a traveler
Scrub attire requirements must be followed per department policy
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of interventional radiology experience, including both peripheral and neurovascular cases
Current BLS and ARRT certification required; AHA and RQI accepted
IN or Compact state license required if applicable
Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited university
Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrogram, peripherals, drainages, extremity, abdominal and pelvic vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies
Ability to scrub both peripheral and neuro cases
Familiarity with Cerner EMR required

Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques. Lifts patients weighing up to 300 pounds, placing them in appropriate positions for operation of equipment. Requires manual and finger dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment (computer, telephone, copier, etc.) and radiologic equipment. Requires eye-hand coordination for operation and repair of radiologic equipment. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films. Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts and to interact directly with patients. Regularly interacts with staff, physicians, and the public. Work may be stressful at times.

Scrub attire requirements will be provided upon assignment
Policy allows for auto-approval of up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO)
Previous staff (Perm or PRN) must be separated for at least 12 months to be considered as travelers

Prepare patients for radiological procedures, communicate the process to the patient and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
Use and maintain a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
Evaluate and ensure equipment is in working order, reporting all malfunctions or concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.
Process and enter radiological procedure information into electronic health record as soon as completed and provide additional reports and information as needed.
Evaluate and maintain examination rooms to ensure rooms are clean and stocked, including ensuring necessary medical and radiological supplies are filled; sterilize and clean room and equipment as required by standard procedures.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Working environment is in enclosed space with radiologic equipment. Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment. Work requires standing for long periods of time. Job requires excessive amounts of walking, also stooping, bending, stretching, and lifting to help position patients and equipment.
