Schedule: Every Saturday and Sunday 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM As a CT Technologist, you will operate diagnostic equipment to produce computerized axial tomographic scan (CT) images of internal organs for use by professional personnel. Explains process to patients and interviews for medical history. Instructs and assists patients in assuming positions for proper scan, and administers contrast media (I.V., oral, rectal and P.O.) according to protocols. Reviews patient records for orders, exam history, lab work, and allergies, and positions patients on the scan table. Schedules patient exams and revises daily schedules to accommodate emergency exams from MedSTAR, ER, and other units. Cleans and maintains an aseptic working environment for each patient. Films CT scan images and archive exams onto tape or optical disk. Ensures adequate supplies are available and is responsible for replenishing supply levels. Assists in the training and orientation of new employees and students.
