Mid-Plains Center for Behavioral Healthcare Services is currently seeking a high energy and reliable PRN Psych Tech for our Crisis Stabilization Unit. This unit is a 12 bed, mental health stabilization and medically assisted detox unit, and is the only unit of its kind in the state. PRN CSU Aides will work 12 hour shifts Monday-Friday and Weekends, days (7am-7pm) and nights (7pm-7am), or partial shifts, as needed. Essential Job Results: Provide support to the CSU team members; especially to CSU Nurse to ensure consumers needs are identified and met. Facilitate the greeting of consumers, identify their needs, reassure consumers of the process for risk assessments, and keep consumer informed of next steps towards their stabilization. Answer crisis calls from community members in distress. Complete all duties on the CSU Shift Report; which includes maintaining a clean and appropriate environment (cleaning rooms so new consumers may be admitted, laundry, ensuring all areas of the facility are safe and clean, setting out groceries for the daily menu, etc.). Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities: Complete and enter intake/admission forms into the electronic health record for consumers admitting to the CSU for care. Process admissions and discharges of consumers to ensure all personal belongings are inventoried and returned to the consumer. Maintain clean environment through regularly scheduled cleaning activities. Coordinate consumer activities of daily living, recreation, and advocacy. Assist consumers in connecting with appropriate resources to meet his/her immediate needs. Follow up with referrals and/or crisis calls received to ensure that consumers receive appropriate and timely services. Respond in a timely manner to inter- and intra-agency requests for treatment recommendations, summaries of services delivered, and other documentation pertinent to consumer care. Prepare for, attend, and actively participate in all required staff meeting and training sessions. Develop and foster a working relationship with referral sources, including, but not limited to: school personnel, healthcare professionals, law enforcement, probation officers, mental health professionals, and social service agencies and personnel. This position is typically the first person to make contact with a referral/consumer; therefore creating a professional, collaborative, compassionate and calming impact is critical. Attend to additional tasks and assignments given by supervisor as deemed necessary to the functioning and success of the CSU and Mid-Plains Center. Success Factors: Strong multi-tasking/organizational skills based on staying on task during a multitude of distractions, being able to shift gears quickly and return to initial task with ease for completion. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with a wide variety of individuals and personalities in an honest way that exhibits integrity. A positive attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to work effectively within the values, structure, and mission of the organization. A proven ability to work with little direct supervision, while being approachable and willing to share information. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. One or more years of job-related work experience. Excellent communication skills (written and spoken). Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish is desired. Excellent organizational skills

Performs regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes. 11. *Analyzes patient histories and completes screenings for metal, implants and devices. 12. Keeps work area properly supplied. 13. Assesses patient pain interfering with imaging procedure and makes appropriate physician contact for intervention. 14. Coordinates exams within the department and with other departments to provide expedient and complete care. 15. Handles telephone calls for scheduling, coordination or questions with courtesy and accuracy. 16. *Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures. 17. Participates in the department's quality improvement plan as required. 18. Keeps work area properly supplied. 19. Assists with new employee training and student clinical education as directed. 20. Accesses and administers drugs and biologicals that are pertinent to essential job functions in accordance with Medical Center procedures. 21. Performs all quality control (QC) checks, as prescribed and maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc. 22. *Uses computerized tomography and radiographic equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. 23. Assesses the patient's heart rate and calls RN if intervention is needed to acquire quality images. 24. Transports patients by bed or wheelchair. 25. Assists the Radiologist during Interventional procedures. 26. Performs highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination, documents, and deviation. 27. Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including pediatric, geriatric, and general population. 28. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. 29.
