As a mobile radiologic technologist, you'll:
An X-Ray Technologist will perform mobile diagnostic imaging procedures in a variety of settings and locations to support the diagnostic and treatment of disease and injuries. This position will also perform additional duties to maintain and enhance patient care, customer service, image quality, operational efficiency, and the training of other X-Ray Technologists. What You'll Do:
Your day-to-day experience as a mobile radiologic technologist will include:
Travel by automobile as directed to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams in a variety of settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, residential homes, and other patient locations.
Follow all company policies, procedures and protocols while performing diagnostic imaging exams.
Collect and verify all required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
Prepare & position patient for diagnostic imaging exams.
Operate portable radiologic equipment at patient's bedside or other designated exam settings.
Determine exposure factors based on height, weight, body part and degree of penetration required.
Demonstrate safe work practices appropriate to position; including safe driving, radiation safety and ALARA principles, infection control, use of appropriate personal protective equipment; safe operation of x-ray generators and associated equipment, vehicle loading/unloading of x-ray equipment, safely moving portable x-ray units during patient visits, and other activities associated with performing the responsibilities as a portable x-ray technologist. Prepare images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician.
Process images and review images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
Transmit images and all required associated documentation in a timely manner according to company protocols.
Complete all forms and maintain records, visit logs, and reports of work performed according to standard protocols.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment; assist with troubleshooting and problem solving of equipment and systems as directed by Company management or Service Department personnel.
Take good care of vehicle; ensure that the vehicle is well stocked with necessary supplies.
Operate and behave in full compliance with all applicable local, state and federal rules and regulations related to portable imaging procedures and standards.
Perform training and orientation of other employees upon request by management.
Assist with order taking, validation of studies, communication with reading radiologists, customer call-backs and other administrative and customer support functions as directed.
Act professionally and exhibit courtesy, friendliness, and a positive attitude when interacting with co-workers, patients, patient's family, client staff, physicians and others.

What You Need:
Meet all state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including one or more of the following:
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R)
State x-ray license (if applicable)
Has a valid state-issued driver's license and maintains a good driving record
Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds
Ability to walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment
Ability to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Provides daily volume and monthly repeat rate reports as well as the end of month dashboard statics to management.
In collaboration with management, conducts subject research, evaluates, recommends, and implements new programs, services, technologies, and operations tools.
Reports Press Ganey scores daily for the Diagnostic department.
Provides management with an action plan when scores fall below the projected goals.
Assists in maintaining projected goals.
Maintains quality control, preventive maintenance, and state registration schedules on all Diagnostic equipment.
Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure their continued availability and non-interruption of services.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education, Experience and Qualifications Required: ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology.
Completion of an accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required.
Three years of relevant experience.

Monitor patients for signs of complications, such as bleeding, infection, or adverse reactions to contrast agents, and report findings to the physician.
Post-Procedure Care:
Monitor patients post-procedure for any immediate complications, including bleeding, infection, or changes in vital signs.
Assist in the transfer of patients to recovery or another unit after the procedure, ensuring they are comfortable and stable during transport.
Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients, including guidance on activity restrictions, wound care, and follow-up appointments.
Assist in the removal of catheter lines, drains, or other devices after the procedure if required, and ensure the area is clean and dressed properly.
Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Regularly maintain and inspect IR equipment, such as fluoroscopy units, imaging systems, and catheter-based tools, ensuring they are functioning correctly.

Provide feedback and support to the medical team during procedures, particularly in regard to imaging quality and patient positioning.
Participate in discussions before and after procedures to review patient conditions, procedural outcomes, and follow-up care.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Accurately document all patient information, procedures performed, imaging parameters, and medications administered in the electronic health record (EHR).
Ensure that all records are completed in compliance with hospital or clinic policies and regulatory standards.
Maintain detailed logs of imaging procedures, contrast agents used, and patient conditions during and after the procedure.
Radiation Safety and Compliance:
Follow strict radiation safety protocols to ensure that radiation exposure is minimized for both the patient and the medical staff, including wearing protective equipment such as lead aprons.
