POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Augmentation Technician will serve as a dedicated technical partner to the client's internal IT team, providing expert support across their Microsoft cloud environment. This role focuses on high-level escalation assistance, environment oversight, strategic guidance, and project collaboration. What you will do
Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures. Moves imaging equipment into specified position, determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy. Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician.
Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Operates mobile radiologic equipment in operating room, emergency room, or at patient's bedside.
Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.
Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed. Performs office work including, but not limited to, answering phone, obtaining information from computer, and ordering departmental supplies.
Provides a positive image to customers by creating a friendly atmosphere and placing a high priority on meeting customer needs in a courteous manner. Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician.
Assist in training students and/or new staff.
Responds to needs and is knowledgeable of appropriate care for school-aged through gerontological patients.
Measures and mixes barium and contrast media.
Adheres to staffing and scheduling practices.
Seeks opportunities to improve knowledge base by attending departmental meetings, in services and other educational activities. Assists radiologist in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.

How you'll contribute
A CT Radiographer who excels in this role:
Provides computerized assisted tomographic/radiologic services as ordered/directed, according to established practices and procedures.
Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
Prepare equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

What we're looking for:
Minimum Education
Two years ARRT accredited program in Radiologic Technology
Associate's degree (Preferred)
*If not ARRT(CT), then you must work under the supervision of an ARRT(CT) technologist until your ARRT(CT) is obtained.
Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
ARRT Registry in Radiology (R) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) in CT (within 1 year hire/transfer)
Minimum Work Experience

Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of radiologic principles, theory, anatomy and pathology processes by utilizing the most appropriate techniques and/or positioning for optimal examinations. Adheres to department policies and protocols by ensuring all examinations are optimized for interpretation. Confidently operates radiological equipment in all care settings (i.e. fluoroscopy, trauma, Emergency department and the Operating Room). Demonstrates the effective use of radiation protection procedures with collimation devices and protective shielding. Operates Imaging and other related equipment according to manufacturers' specifications. Demonstrates proper technique for injection of IV contrast under the American College of Radiology guidelines.
Assists in teaching radiography students sound radiography principles.
Communicates effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent from patients' and/or patients' charts to assist physicians in optimizing the performance and interpretation of examinations. Explains procedures to patients/families and answers any questions to ease anxiety and assure patient cooperation. Correctly identifies patients and their files while ensuring a high degree of accuracy. Tracks patients according to department procedures.
Assists physicians in performing a variety of examinations by using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and/or sterile techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of accredited school/program of radiography
Licensure: American Registered Radiologic Technologists within 12 months of hire
Certification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
