The role you'll contribute:
Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs CAT Scan procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to acquire Cat Scan images for radiological diagnosis. Must keep room clean and stocked with supplies that are required to perform CAT Scan procedures

Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures using radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images that aid physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. Essential Work Functions:
Educate patients about imaging procedures and answer questions if they arise
Prepare and operate advanced radiologic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images according to physician orders
Maintain equipment and sterilize the room in which procedure takes place
Evaluate images for quality, present images and preliminary findings to physicians and health care team
Maintain and inspect imaging equipment for proper functionality, troubleshooting issues and reporting malfunctions as needed
Document all imaging procedures and technical details accurately in patient records
Follow hospital safety rules and procedures including infection control and radiation safety protocols
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of Radiologic Technologist practice

$15,000 SIGN ON BONUS

The position is full time, located at our urgent care Grandview location. The hours for this position is 9am-9pm with a 2-weekend requirement for every 5-week rotation. No on-call requirement and shift differential eligibility for entire shift. This position prepares patients for examinations and performs diagnostic radiology procedures following guidelines set by OhioHealth and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order. Report equipment malfunctions to Center Operations Director

Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient x-ray visit.
Maintain all x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures
Medical Support Specialist Duties
Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing and respirator fit testing

DUTIES:
Perform x-rays and EKGs on patients as assigned, following the company's technical procedures.
Ensure images are released to state licensed radiologist or cardiologist for interpretation.
Burn images to CD and deliver as assigned.
Keep accurate documentation of services performed.
Maintain company property, including vehicles, phones, equipment and supplies to maximize useful life, function and appearance and to minimize damage, costly repairs and down time.
Be professional in actions, communication, and personal appearance.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
ARRT, current
Required X-ray State licensures for all states served, current
Able to work independently, yet as part of a team
Flexibility in work hours to meet needs of the clients.
Excellent driving record and must be physically able to drive approximately 3000 to 6000 miles per month
Drug and alcohol free
Experience in portable x-ray preferred.
Must be physically able to load and unload x-ray equipment (100-185lbs) from the vehicle on average 5-10 times per shift and maneuver equipment to the patient bed-side to perform the exam. A ramp or winch can be supplied upon request to assist with the loading/unloading of equipment.
Must by physically able to transport equipment up and down as many as eight (8) steps.
Must be physically able to place X-ray cassettes underneath patients to complete exams, which requires lifting patients and pulling and pushing cassettes under body part being examined. Patient's weight varies depending on body part being examined.
