American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Interventional Technologist with at least 2 years of IR procedural and scrubbing experience for a Cardiac Cath Lab assignment.
Responsibilities
Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab performing invasive radiology procedures
Schedule is full-time, 4x12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
On-call responsibility includes 1 weekend and 4 weekdays per month
May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
Patient population involves cardiovascular cases and interventional radiology procedures
Experience with Siemens equipment and knowledge of CT spin is preferred
Utilizes PACS and RIS for imaging and documentation
Assist radiologist in performing complex invasive procedures, including preparation and operation of imaging equipment and physiological monitors
Prepare and administer prescribed contrast media, medications, and IV solutions
Perform duties using principles of radiation safety and quality assurance standards
Complete all required documentation in the medical record and radiology information system
Responsible for patient assessment and monitoring before, during, and after procedures
May assist with training of new staff or students
Must complete onsite online modules prior to start with a passing score
RTO requests must be discussed with management after assignment starts
Hospital follows a strict timeline for background check and drug screening processes
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience with interventional radiology procedures and hands-on scrubbing with physicians
Active MI license required if applicable
Current BLS certification (AHA)
Must be registered with ARRT with advanced registry in CI, VI, or CV
High school diploma or GED required
Must maintain required hours of continued medical education
Preferred experience with IR lab, scrubbing, emergent cases, embolization, neuro intervention, and ACLS

Responsibilities
X-ray Technician Duties
Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed. Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during the x-ray exam
Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination. Take x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety
Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members
Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order. Report equipment malfunctions to Center Operations Director
Ensure all Radiology workflows are followed and all Radiology reports cross correctly to EMR
Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient x-ray visit.
Maintain all x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures
Medical Support Specialist Duties
Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing and respirator fit testing
Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.)
Assist providers during examination and treatment
Responsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician as well as triaging emergent patients as needed
Prepare and assist clinician with procedure set up and injury care
Apply bandages, dressings and splints as ordered by the treating clinician
Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician in accordance with state regulations
Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices as well as testing processes used in the center
Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms
Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures
Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or facility is not operating as expected
In partnership with center leadership, assist with patient flow and volume
Keep patients informed of expected wait times during all aspects of the center visit
Responsible for clerical tasks in both the front and back office associated with patient care and proper record keeping
Ensure accuracy in documentation
Perform front office duties: greet patients, obtain authorization, check in/out, communicate wait times, answer multi-line telephone system, and distribute employer results/paperwork as needed
Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules
Attend center staff meetings or huddles as required
Assist in maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly appearance throughout the facility

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT (CT), BLS, and at least 2 years of CT experience for a hospital-based role requiring both procedural and structural heart experience.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital CT unit and may float to a nearby sister hospital
Primary schedule is 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend required
Block scheduling may be considered depending on department needs
Structural heart and general CT procedural cases are performed
Uses PACS and Radiology Information System (RIS) for image and data management
Performs computerized tomography imaging exams and assists radiologists with complex procedures, including biopsies
May need to assist in preparing sterile equipment and supplies for procedures
Responsible for practicing radiation safety and ALARA principles at all times
Will monitor patients for reactions to contrast and provide immediate care if necessary
COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory
Onboarding includes background check, drug screening, and timely completion of all required documentation
Travelers may be required to move heavy equipment or support patient transfers
Scrubs or dress code will be provided or required according to hospital policy

Active BLS certification from AHA
