    Mobile Radiologic Technologist The Mobile Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using mobile radiographic equipment. This position involves traveling to various locations, including skilled nursing facilities, long-term acute cares, rehab hospitals, assisted livings, and patient homes, to provide essential imaging services. The technician will ensure high-quality images are captured while delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining strict adherence to safety standards. RESPONSIBILITIES Operate portable radiographic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images following the prescribed imaging protocols. Safely transport and operate mobile imaging equipment at various locations, including hospitals, clinics, and patient residences. Explain procedures to patients, ensuring they are properly positioned for imaging exams while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Cover areas not being imaged to protect patients from unnecessary radiation exposure during procedures. Ensure proper patient alignment for imaging by coordinating with facility staff or aides to assist patients with limited mobility. Direct handling of patients is not allowed. Operate portable radiographic equipment, perform EKG examinations, and comply with infection control procedures. Accurately document patient records during and after procedures. Calibrate radiographic equipment to provide clear, high-quality images and assist in interpreting radiographs when necessary. Ensure proper sterilization, storage, and routine maintenance of radiographic equipment. Report any equipment failures or issues promptly. Log, organize, and develop imaging results in accordance with company protocols. Safely operate a motor vehicle. REQUIREMENTS Earned degree from a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) program. Completed internships with hands-on clinical experience during the degree program. Passed or scheduled to take qualifying exams within the required timeframe for LMRT or ARRT certification. Must be able to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., as the role involves loading and unloading mobile radiographic equipment from the vehicle. Valid state radiology license (if applicable). Strong technical skills in radiology, excellent communication and patient care skills, ability to work independently in a mobile environment, and familiarity with infection control procedures. Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel within the assigned territory. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods while performing patient services. Comfortable driving for extended stretches to various patient locations up to 200+ miles per day. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under high-stress situations. Flexibility to adapt to scheduling changes and varying patient needs. Overview A freestanding ER in Tyler, TX is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join their team. The Radiologic Technologist at Hospitality Health ER cares for all patients including neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatrics. The Radiologic Technologist will strive to provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patient's sense of comfort and dignity. Responsibilities for the Radiologic Technologist 1. Operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (X- rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist. 2. Positions patients on the exam table appropriately and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician. 3. Moves x-ray equipment into specified position and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance, based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols. 4. Perform laboratory tests as described in the Laboratory Procedure Manual. Maintain a current Procedure Manual. Collect appropriate specimens from patients. Checks two patient identifiers prior to collection and labeling. Labels specimens are at the patient's bedside. Prepare or instruct patients for specimen collection in age-appropriate dialog. Prepare specimens to be sent out to a reference laboratory. Follow all laboratory safety policies and procedures. Run controls and document as described in the QC Policy. Calibrate all laboratory instruments, where applicable, as described in the laboratory Policy and Procedures Manual. Maintain all laboratory instruments as indicated by the manufacturers. In the event of instrument failure, follow the manufacturer's trouble-shooting procedures. Maintain laboratory safety equipment in proper working order to ensure their effectiveness and maintain personal protection supplies as needed. Maintain all laboratory work surfaces; clean and disinfect against potentially infectious material. Maintain all laboratory records as described in the laboratory Policy and procedures manual. Make all laboratory records and documents available for inspection by the Laboratory Director, Technical Consultant, or CLIA Inspectors. Order laboratory supplies as needed to ensure that laboratory functions and services will not be interrupted. Follow all directives in the Laboratory Policy Manual. Requirements and Qualifications for the Radiologic Technologist Graduation from accredited approved school of Radiologic Technology. One year of radiologic/imaging experience.
