Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilize classroom and lab instruction, student assessment mechanisms, and classroom management techniques to provide an engaged classroom experience to students.
Guarantee that student has been presented with material to successfully meet the learning objectives of each course within a student's program of study.
Ensure the instructional materials and equipment are ready for student use, sufficient in quantity, and are properly maintained and in working order.
Participate in on-going faculty assessment and professional development activities to ensure an active and engaging classroom for all students; maintain required certification and licensure.
Actively participate in meeting, review and analyze data, compile reports, and meet academic and administrative deadlines.
Ensure campus compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory bodies', guidelines, along with internal policies of the company.
Monitor attendance of students and submit to registrar's office before leaving work day/evening.
Prepare weekly lesson plans; follow syllabi to maintain a pace to meet requirements.
Ensure strict adherence to school schedule.
Notify director of all incidents and/or issues immediately.
Grade tests and submit grades on time to register's office.
Maintain and clean classrooms, laboratory areas and faculty offices.
Arrive for work, be in your classroom to greet students and begin class on time.

Education/Experience:
Completion of a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist Program (LMRT) or Certificate Program with 3+ years of experience or completion of a Radiologic Technology / Associates program with 2+ years of experience.

Summary: Provides healthcare services, applying x-ray energy procedures to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of patients. May perform medical imaging techniques for mammography or routine patients and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Desired Professional Skills and Experience:
* Graduate of recognized, approved AMA Council of Education program in radiologic technology; Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.); Certification as Medical Radiological Technologist (M.R.T.) by the Texas Medical Board; Requires current CPR and AED certification and Mammography Certification is preferred.
* Two years of experience in general diagnostic radiology preferred, mammography experience is a plus.

Job Summary
Administers ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Performs a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures and acquires and analyzes data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to contrast medications and radiation exposure in accordance with state laws, regulations, and company policy.
Essential Functions
Receive, relay and document verbal, facsimile, electronic and/or telephone orders in the patient's chart as permitted by state and company policies
Provide education and prepare patients for procedures
Select the appropriate protocol and optimize technical factors while maximizing patient safety
Apply principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others
Apply three basic principles of radiation safety\: time, distance and shielding
Observe patient and machine during procedure and report any unexpected outcomes
Clean and disinfect x-ray room and equipment as per infection control policy
Evaluate images for proper positioning and determine if additional images will improve the procedure or treatment outcome
Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper identification is recorded
Corroborate a patient's clinical history with the procedure and ensure information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner
Postprocess images and data
Verify archival storage of exam data
Assist in maintaining medical records while respecting confidentiality and established policy
Identify and respond to emergency situations
Follow process for managing equipment and physical environment to ensure a safe working environment
Communicate issues, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to immediate supervisor routinely
Work cooperatively as a team member with co-workers in all departments of the hospital
Apply principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care
