Work where you matter.** **A Brief Overview** The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing specialized procedures using sterile techniques and specialized equipment. **What you will do** + Schedules procedures and appropriate patient preparations, prepares, positions and instructs patients and adjusts equipment for procedures. + Familiar with a wide variety of diagnostic and intervention procedures and oversees/coordinates with nursing staff, scrub techs and other techs or students throughout exam. + Produces satisfactory images via digital imaging or hard film and presents them satisfactorily for radiologist interpretation. + Maintains, orders, and evaluates products used for procedures. + Demonstrates high level of patient care skills to assist nursing staff with caring for critically ill patients. + Assists with the collection and maintenance of records as needed by the Radiology Department, Quality Department, Joint Commission accreditation, OSHA guidelines and others as required. + Able to monitor all Hemodynamics during procedures. + Understands human vasculature including cerebral circulation and anticipates the needs of the Physician supplies, equipment and medications as needed while maintaining a sterile environment. + Possesses the ability to comprehend and interpret complex clinical subject matter related to the specialty. + Demonstrates the ability to analyze data and formulate an appropriate plan of action and demonstrates critical thinking skills. **Essential Qualifications** The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
