Involves exposure to radiation and frequent contact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare personnel. Work may be fast paced at times. Interaction with others is constant and interruptive. It is possible work may involve interaction with injured or sick patients. Role Qualifications: Certification as a radiologic technologist. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for patient care and a fun, team-oriented attitude. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have reliable transportation. Preferred Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year experience in X-ray but will consider a new graduate. Minimum Education Requirements: High school diploma or the equivalent. Graduate of accredited radiologic technology program. AART Certification. Current state license. CE compliant. Required Skills: Proper positioning of patients. Great attention to detail. Ability to identify equipment problems and correct if possible; notify supervisor. Ability to analyze situations and develop solutions. Ethical reasoning and decision-making. Time management, prioritization, and sense of urgency. Excellent verbal written and communication skills. Maintain patient confidentiality. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods, work longer than eight (8) hour shifts, and to work both day/evening shifts. Work may hand dexterity as well as the need to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
