Pride Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Milwaukee, WI 53226. This is a 13-week contract with potential for extension.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols while utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures.
Adheres to organizational customer service standards and supports the organizational excellence initiatives.
Provides positive and effective interaction and communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
Performs ancillary services and assists in patient care areas as necessary. -Other duties as assigned.
Performs radiologic/fluoroscopic procedures accurately and efficiently with the least amount of discomfort to the patient.
Explains exam to patient.
Interviews patient to obtain personal medical history, documenting this information into RIS.
Provides clear explanation and instruction to patient. -Assists patient throughout exam.
Required Qualifications:
1+ years of relevant experience.
ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology.
Current State of WI license as a Radiographer.
BLS Certification through AHA.
Additional Information:
Location: Milwaukee, WI 53226
Schedule: 40 hours/week - Monday - Friday - 2nd shift - 3PM-11PM
Weekly Gross: $2,540; W2 pay hourly- $25.00; Weekly stipend - $1540
Local Pay: $50-$55/hour

The technologist collaborates with providers and the care team to deliver accurate images in a variety of settings, including fluoroscopy, surgery, emergency, inpatient, and outpatient care.
Responsibilities

Position and prepare patients for imaging, ensuring safety and comfort
Operate radiology equipment and auxiliary imaging systems effectively and safely

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic and radiographic exams, while following established procedures for patient care, operations and safety.
Perform electrocardiograms using portable EKG equipment.
Travel to various healthcare facilities in the area, operating company owned vehicles.
Gather and complete appropriate paperwork.
Review and ensure exams are high diagnostic quality and available for interpretation in a timely fashion.
Proficiency in operating X-ray equipment and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
Familiarity with medical software and electronic health records systems
Performs all duties as assigned or required to ensure efficiency and provide quality patient care.
Candidate Skills / Requirements:
Certificate or Associate's degree from an accredited school of radiology
State certification & ARRT license required
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to work independently

Job Description
Our client needs a Senior Radiographer, Level II. They manufacture components for the military and aerospace and are in the process of moving to digital radiography. As a member of the quality department, you will help them create and test critical components for their customer base. You will help to grow their NADCAP NDT capabilities (Film and Digital radiography, fluorescent penetrant inspection) to meet the increasing demand for advanced components. This is an excellent, well-established company that is on an aggressive growth curve.
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to military contracts.
What you will be doing:
Perform radiographic operations including selection of appropriate techniques, positioning of materials, exposure of film, developing techniques, etc. to identify and assess defects in components and repair welds.
Perform all darkroom procedures to develop film and/or process digital radiographic images.
Interpretation of results to determine whether parts pass or fail inspection based on knowledge of codes, standards, and customer specifications. Prepare necessary documentation and certification.
Review new customer orders to help determine proper processing through X-Ray operations.
Assist in maintaining the radiographic inspection area, inspection room and radiographic equipment as needed.
Maintaining accurate records of inspections and process logs as required by the method
Participate in Nadcap accreditation activity
Desire to increase technical and leadership skills in the field of Non-Destructive testing (NDT).
Requirements

Post-High School education in NDT or a technical field preferred.
Certification to Radiographic Testing Level II (RT Level II) is required
Manufacturing or component level work, not pipelines
Experience with SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410 or MIL-STD-271 for NDT are highly desired.
Experience with DDA (digital X-ray) protocols or DDA Level 2 certification desirable.
Able to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and team player.
Desire to increase technical and leadership skills in the NDT field.
Good communication and computer skills.
Interest in earning advanced certifications in additional NDT techniques such as liquid penetrant inspection (FPI, MPI) with a longer-term goal to achieve Level 3 certification.

Performs Radiographic procedures using mobile as well as stationary equipment, in the following areas General Diagnostics, Fluorscopy, Mobile Radiography on inpatient units, Emergency Radiography, mobile Radiographic and Fluoroscopic procedures in the Operating Room.
