Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during exam. Operates radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes in accordance with established policy and protocol. Completes required QC for equipment and maintains ACR/ MQSA requirements. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and staff. Ensures radiologic equipment remains in working order and reports malfunctions to direct supervisor. Opens maintenance tickets with the appropriate vendor when necessary. Performs any required administrative duties including scheduling, completing necessary forms, and maintenance and department supply ordering as required.
