Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
2+ years of experience in a CSM role, especially in an MSP environment, technology, or a health care setting

Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in Customer Success, Account Management, or Sales.

* Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, infection control policies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
* Coordinate with Environmental Services (EVS) by moving equipment to allow terminal cleaning of ORs and storage areas.
* Return cleaned and disinfected equipment to proper locations upon completion of EVS terminal cleaning.
3. Inventory, Logistics, and Room Organization
* Support the Equipment Manager with inventory control, including tracking equipment availability, ordering replacement parts, and managing maintenance records.
* Maintain accurate documentation of equipment usage, cleaning, repairs, and maintenance activities.
* Stock and organize OR supplies such as gloves, masks, and linens to ensure consistent readiness.
* Stock and organize positioning equipment and non-sterile supplies in the operating room.
* Stock and organize blanket warmers with blankets and Saline.
* Oversee the cleanliness and organization of equipment and supply storage rooms.

Collects co-pays, deductibles, coinsurances, and down payments. Provides estimates for services when appropriate. Receives and processes patient financial liability payments for current and past balances. The focus is to collect patient liabilities prior to service and to resolve any insurance and financial issues prior to services being rendered. Reschedules appointments when appropriate under the guidance of department leader. This position is the front line for customer service, pre-registration and access to care for scheduled services.
I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Initiates contact with insurance companies to obtain eligibility, gather accurate patient billing information, and performs collections with outstanding accounts receivable.
2. Accurately estimates the patient financial liability (copayments, deductibles, coinsurances, deposits, etc. via obtaining accurate demographic and financial information). Answers patient inquiries regarding their liability and able to explain the variables involved.
3. Receives and processes patient payments.
4. Ensures pre-certification authorization and or referral is in placement prior to service being rendered.
5. Appropriately referring patients to Financial Counselors or Business Office dependent on need of patient.
6. Reschedules appointments when requested by patient or, under advisement of department leader, when due to financial circumstances appointment requires postponement.
7. Enters clear, concise notes concerning financial clearance status in system based on communications.
8. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all job-related policies and procedures and adheres to and consistently applies the Financial Clearance Policy in all patient cases.
9. Assesses gaps in patient coverage to determine patient financial exposure prior to rendering service.
10. Consistently demonstrates ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.
11. Performs other duties as assigned, or directed, to ensure smooth operation of the department/unit.

Responsibilities
Public Safety Dispatchers must determine the nature and location of calls requesting public safety, fire, medical, or other emergency and non-emergency services, then use computer aided dispatch software (CAD) to dispatch, track and monitor appropriate response for service. Receives and screens telephone calls, radio calls, collects information regarding crime or emergency in progress to relay to safety force personnel; and documents critical information to maintain the location and status of Public Safety units in the field.
Public Safety Dispatchers must have extensive knowledge of public safety operations at each campus served by UC Health Department of Public Safety (DPS), including physical locations, DPS policies and procedures, and facility operations.
Dispatchers must exercise reasonable independent judgment to determine priorities for service response in accordance with established procedures and protocols; coordinate on site activities of safety forces to ensure efficient and effective support services; and notifies and coordinates response with outside agencies as needed, ex: police and fire units, Disaster Management personnel, hospital management and other first responders. Enters, updates, and retrieves information for a variety of different sources, including officers working in the field.
Must operate a variety of communications equipment including multiple channel radio consoles, telephone and computer systems. Monitors various alarm systems and closed circuit cameras at multiple UC Health facilities. Is responsible for monitoring access control systems and building maintenance programs, as well as relaying weather related problems to appropriate personnel.
May work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays to maintain 24-hour, seven day a week coverage of the dispatch function.
