This network of services provides accessible mental health services within the primary care medical home, and at our regional mental health specialty hubs across San Diego and Southern Riverside county. Our program is focused on supporting early identification, health promotion and illness prevention, in collaboration with our primary care pediatric partners. As part of the Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) team, the Behavioral Health Integrated Health Therapist "IHT" serves as a valued provider and partner in total child well-being, based in the primary care pediatrician's office. The IHT will conduct a brief model of mental health services, including diagnostic assessment, triage, psychotherapy, and multidisciplinary team treatment planning. As a generalist provider, the IHT will offer education, connection to resources, counseling, problem solving, brief therapy, and crisis intervention.
