Example Of What A Rail Technician does

  • Assembled wire harnesses and terminated wire ends, assisted in all final squawks for customer inspection.
  • Have Air brake testing certification, leak testing certification , corrosion inspection and AAR rules completion on new hire since 2013.
  • Disassemble units such as water pumps, control valves, and compressors so that repairs can be made.

  • Perfomed Field Modification Instruction (FMI) and preventative maintenance on complex electro-mechanical production equipment on trains.
  • Inspect, diagnose, function test and repair rail vehicle systems and equipment.
  • Performed functional test such as break system and HVAC analysis.
