Under the general direction of and reporting to the Telecom Service Manager, the Generator Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of generator sets and other electrical equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform various types and levels of maintenance and repair on generators and parallel systems ranging from 5-5000kw. The Medical Equipment Technician is expected to report any and all compliance or safety issues to the manager. Responsible for afterhours coverage with other Medical Equipment Technicians. Supports and participates in the training of new Medical Equipment Technicians as requested by the manager. Identifies patient needs and/or revenue opportunities while engaged with patients and conveys them to the Customer Service Representatives for follow-up. Supports vehicle maintenance by unloading and cleaning vehicle daily. Completes daily and quarterly maintenance manifests as required by policy and procedure. Maintains warehouse, inventory levels and equipment cleanliness and repair according to policy and procedure and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned by the branch office manager. Requirements REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED equivalent. The Lead Gas Technician performs a wide variety of tasks relating to the planning, installation, and maintenance serving residential, commercial and industrial customers ensuring system safety and reliability. This individual's primary work is on the piping system, pressure regulating equipment, and customer meters. The Lead Gas Technician will enter businesses, industrial complexes, and customer homes and communicate both verbally and in writing with business proprietors, homeowners, and industrial plant owners and operators to explain complex topics. The Lead Gas Technician additionally serves as a resource to other technicians within the group and must be able to train and share expertise in order to advance the department's skill and ability. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as a First Responder for odor of gas complaints, CO complaints, and pipeline emergencies. Accurately performs pressure tests using appropriate testing equipment.
