Lead Reentry Coach/Driver The Center of Reentry Excellence (CORE) operates multiple facilities that operate as central service hubs for the coordination of reentry services for justice-impacted individuals and their families. The Lead Reentry Coach/Driver performs a wide range of critical functions in support of services available through CORE. As a transportation coordinator, the role has direct responsibility for coordinating operations related to a discrete program or set of services available through CORE, and as a Lead Reentry Coach may be tasked with providing some direct services and with the supervision of a limited number of Reentry Coaches or Peer Navigators as deemed necessary to achieve CORE's objectives. In Coordinating transportation services for CORE, the Transportation Coordinator is responsible for supporting the reentry population with transportation to and from certain reentry related activities, including driving the CORE operated shuttle, an 8 passenger van, and with assisting individuals in obtaining or maintaining their own personal transportation options. The transportation coordinator, with the assistance of their manager, will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the service quality level of CORE's transportation services. In the absence of their manager, this role may be assigned some level of responsibility for supporting the day-to-day activities at their assigned worksite. Driving Operate a company commercial motor vehicle to get to job site Drives commercial equipment to job site whether planned or in response to an emergency · Industrial Maintenance: Performs various hands-on work while on job location depending on environmental job Operate hand tools, light machinery, and sharp tools while on job location Works in a safe and healthy manner in accordance with established safety and OSHA requirements Provides care and light maintenance of tools and equipment to maintain their proper operation CDL - A DRIVER / TECHNICIAN | POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS: Full-time position Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend and holidays required Home Most Weekends Travels approximately 60% of the week CDL - A DRIVER / TECHNICIAN | REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Class B or A CDL required Three (3) years of general labor or construction experience preferred Required to follow all safety standards; wears necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas Has ability to read, understand, and carry out oral and written instructions and schedules Effectively interacts with co-workers, clients, and vendors Possesses effective time management, adaptability, and personal conduct skills CDL - A DRIVER / TECHNICIAN | REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred Tanker and HAZMAT endorsements preferred, but not necessary. EWI will provide all required training CDL - A DRIVER / TECHNICIAN | WORK ENVIRONMENT: Exposure to harsh conditions such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures for periods of time is possible. This employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to regularly lift and carry 50 pounds.
