Touring Driver Pay:
* Starting pay on tour: $1,800/week, with potential to earn up to $2,500/week as you take on more responsibility
* Regional freight between tours: $1,475/week average (mileage-based)
Important: All drivers start in Averitt's regional division for the first 30 days (mileage-based pay). Touring assignments and salary-based pay begin after transfer approval.
Touring Driver Schedule:
* Tour Season: March-October
Tours run for weeks at a time; limited home time unless routes are near your domicile
* Off-Season: November-February
Drivers typically run regional, no-touch freight to maintain steady income

Haul staging, lighting, and production gear for major live events
Assist with loading/unloading and secure equipment using straps and load bars
Safely back into tight or unconventional venue locations

Newton County Stone is an open-pit limestone mine/quarry seeking a Pit Loader for our operation located in Lacey's Spring, AL. The Pit Loader Operator will be primarily responsible for safely loading, moving, and managing material within the quarry to support production operations. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
Learning and understanding our safety culture and implementing all of Rogers Group's safety principles without compromise
Operate front-end loader to move and load shot rock, crushed stone, or overburden safely and efficiently.
Maintain a consistent feed to the plant/crusher while minimizing downtime and spillage.
Plant maintenance and clean up when needed
Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues or needed repairs.
Assist with maintaining haul roads, loading areas, and stockpiles to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
Communicate effectively with the plant operator, haul truck drivers, and other pit personnel using radios and hand signals.
May be called upon at the discretion of the supervisor in charge to perform any other duties assigned and/or to assist with other areas as necessary
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
General mechanical knowledge
Ability to maintain safe working conditions
Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime, weekends, or different shifts as production requires. Overtime is not promised.
Self-starter/ ability to work without close supervision
Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift/move up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Previous experience working in mining environment preferred
Willingness to cross-train and assist in other areas of the operation as needed.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
Overtime is required as needed and may include Saturdays
