The Registered Nurse furnishes comprehensive client care as assigned by the Case Manager in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, the basic principles of the professional nurse and the company's policies and procedures. The RN performs functions which require substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and skill based upon the principles of psychological, biological and social sciences and must be able to make nursing judgements accordingly. The Registered Nurse reports directly to the Clinical Supervisor.

Monday - Friday between 8 am - 5 pm; Flexible Schedule
1:1 client care visits are an average of 1 - 3 hours per hours
An average day will consist of 3 - 8 client visits

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, provides and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures and consults with the Case Manager regarding any changes in the care plan.
Demonstrates knowledge of current health practices when performing observation and evaluation of client care.
Provides total client care to include medications and treatments administered as ordered by the physician, physical and psychological care, and client and family education.
Works with families and other health care professionals in providing continuity of client care.
Assesses and interprets symptoms and institutes remedial measures within the legal limits of nursing practice within the state of Minnesota, and reports significant changes in client's condition to the Case Manager immediately.
Exercises professional judgement in adapting nursing measures to changing needs.
Communicates effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team.
Participates in scheduled client conferences as requested.
Follows infection control policies including proper hand washing techniques.
Maintains accurate clinical record, preparing clinical and progress notes with follow through of timely record keeping.
Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development by actively participating in continuing education, inservice programs, orientation and personnel evaluations.
Maintains absolute confidentiality of all information pertaining to clients, families and employees.
Maintains a safe client environment and identifies and reports to the office any suspected vulnerable client abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation.
Promotes a positive client and employee service image.
Exercises judgement in accepting assignments.
Participates in the after-hours on call process to ensure client care and staffing issues are resolved.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Heavy to Very Heavy. Heavy lifting necessary for client care. Nursing care provided in individual client homes. Must be adaptable to a variety of environments and community settings. Must be able to drive or use public transportation in all types of weather.
Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for heavy work.
QUALIFICATIONS
Currently licensed as an R.N. in the state of Minnesota. The license must not have been revoked, suspended, and without limitations or restrictions.
Have at least two (2) years' experience in a health care setting.
Acute hospital or home care experience preferred.
Demonstrates ability to make appropriate nursing judgments.
Possess good interpersonal communication and teaching skills.
Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proof of negative mantoux or documentation of negative chest x-ray.
Current CPR certification highly recommended.
Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation in order to travel to multiple company business stops a day.
A valid driver's license and proof of car insurance when using a personal vehicle for company business.
Have U.S. Citizenship or evidence of valid Alien Work Permit.
Discloses any conviction and criminal history records pertaining to any crime related to the provision of health services. A candidate who has been convicted of such crimes will not be hired.
Pass initial and ongoing background studies and screenings including but not limited to those of the Minnesota Department of Health and the Federal Office of the Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals and Entities.

*ABOUT THE ROLE*
The primary function of the BCBA is to provide professional services to children affected by ASD who are receiving therapeutic services. The BCBA works as a team member in the delivery of services and as a promoter of MAC services and expansions. The BCBA works within a team of professionals to design, deliver, evaluate and report on the services being provided to MAC clients.
*WHAT YOU WILL DO*
* Consult with Clinical Supervisors to maintain the quality of cases through ABA data analysis and collaborate on implementing data-driven program changes.
* Participate in multiple service delivery settings (home, school, community, supervision, direct support, parent training).
* Provide direct/indirect supervision to BCaBAs and RBTs within the organization
* Conduct assessments and train support staff.
* Participate in the development of social groups, program advocacy and behavior consulting.
* Participate in workshops and train clinical professionals, staff, and parents to expand our client's knowledge base.
* Cultivate a culture of compassion, communication, excellence, creativity, and reliability.
* Maintain confidentiality of the children and families/caregivers served by MAC according to professional ethical standards, state and federal rules and regulations and MAC's internal policy and procedures.
*WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU*
* Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field (Behavior Analysis emphasis preferred)
* Must be a certified behavior analyst with a minimum of 1,500 hours of hands-on training or supervised experience in the provision of ABA services directly to individuals with autism under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who has at least two years of experience in ABA programming for individuals with autism, and as a supervisor of less experienced clinicians.
* Minimum of three years of applied experience working with special needs children, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred.
* Must provide sufficient written evidence of training and/or education in the method of evidence-based therapy being delivered.
