Information Assurance Systems Officer, Information Services
The Information Assurance Systems Officer (IASO), Information Services (IS) supports cybersecurity and risk management initiatives across enterprise unclassified systems. The IASO plays a central role in protecting information assets, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local cybersecurity requirements (e.g., NIST 800-171, CMMC), and maintaining a strong security posture through effective use of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools. This includes conducting audits, analyzing sensitive data, and collaborating with various teams to implement and maintain security measures. The IASO identifies vulnerabilities, recommends improvements, and provides expert guidance on cybersecurity matters while staying informed about emerging threats and trends. This IASO role is responsible for CMMC practices (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) as a member of the Information Services (IS) Information Security Cybersecurity Team.
Responsibilities
Cybersecurity System Security and Compliance across the enterprise unclassified systems:
Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs) and supporting documentation aligned with NIST 800-171 and CMMC practices.
Conduct regular security control assessments, perform gap analyses, and update Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
Coordinate security authorization and compliance activities across IT systems and applications.
Cybersecurity and Security Reviews & Continuous Improvement:
Perform ongoing security reviews of applications, infrastructure, and business processes to verify compliance and identify improvements.
Recommend remediation strategy, track remediation efforts, and collaborate closely with IT, DevOps, and business teams
Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity audits to ensure compliance with CMMC, DFARS 7012, NIST 800-171, and other relevant regulations.
Analyze and assess various data types, including Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Controlled Technical Information (CTI), Federal Contract Information (FCI), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Export Administration Regulation (EAR99).
Collaborate with system and network administrators to ensure audit features are configured and enabled correctly.
Third-Party IT Security Oversight:
Conduct third-party/vendor security assessments as part of the procurement and onboarding process.
Review supplier security documentation and manage risks associated with external data sharing and service providers.
Incident Support:
Participate in incident response activities, including documentation, coordination, and lessons learned reviews.
Help improve incident detection, containment, and prevention through policy, training, and technical improvements.
GRC & Risk Management Support:
Utilize GRC tools to document and track risk assessments, policy compliance, and mitigation efforts.
Identify and evaluate risks to information assets; assist in the development of risk treatment and remediation plans.
Review policy exceptions to assess impact and risk, track approvals, and monitor mitigation within target remediation timeline
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical and administrative controls with risk management strategies.
IT Security Awareness & Training:
Support the development and rollout of security awareness training to ensure users understand responsibilities and best practices.
Ensure training completion and maintain accurate compliance records; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum 8 years of experience with a BS/BA degree in an IT information security or compliance role in a corporate or government contractor setting. (Minimum 12 years' experience without a BA/BS degree.)
Strong understanding of NIST SP 800-171, CMMC Level 2, and basic DFARS cybersecurity clauses.
Extensive knowledge of multiple federal government network security processes and procedures
Technical background with understanding or hands-on experience in Information Technology environments and web technologies
Excellent oral and written communications skills required for correspondence, reports, briefings, and procedures
U.S. Citizenship (required for defense contractor compliance).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Cybersecurity Risk Management or Information Assurance related certifications.
Proficient in MS Office Applications.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills and judgement.
Preferred:
Professional certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISA, or CRISC.
Familiarity with audit processes, internal controls, and security risk assessments.
Knowledge of Microsoft office applications
Working knowledge of Confluence and Jira for task management
Experience
With a BS/BA degree, at least 8 years' experience in cybersecurity required. Without a BS/BA degree, at least 12 years' experience in cybersecurity security required.
Education
High school diploma or GED is required. BS/BA degree is preferred.

Is responsible for daily coordination of the academic component of the Program, as well as the recruitment and admissions processes. Qualifications
Requires a minimum of two years' experience as a staff radiographer registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). At least 2 years of full-time experience in clinical practice in the field within the past five years. One year of experience as a clinical instructor in a JRCERT accredited program. Completion of a bachelor's degree in related field.
Additional Qualifications
Must demonstrate proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Classroom teaching experience, and/or ARRT certification at an advanced level is beneficial. Must demonstrate strong human relations and communication skills to effectively supervise, teach, evaluate, and counsel students and to work cohesively with the program staff. Duties and Responsibilities

Participates in and/or leads complex studies, assessments, special projects and comprehensive evaluations to use in decision making and to effectively direct District activities as they relate to mobility safety and Vision Zero.
Qualifications and Education
Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position and has equipped the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, at least one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.
Preferred Requirements: At least one (1) year specialized experience designing and implementing roadway safety projects in an urban environment. Bachelor's Degree in related disciplines preferred. 3+ years of experience supporting highway safety efforts working on behavioral traffic safety issues, grantee support and review, data analysis and other related activities preferred.

Primary Function:
The President/CEO is the Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland and is responsible for the overall operations, property, and employees of Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland. The President/CEO also acts as the representative of the Bishop regarding health and human services in the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. The President/CEO provides broad long‑term and short‑term strategic and business planning, leadership, direction, structure, resources, communications, reporting, and assessment to ensure the organization's mission as stated in the Corporation's Code of Regulations and the direction adopted by the Members and/or Board of Directors is accomplished.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The President/CEO ensures that the activities of this position, assigned entities, and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Charities, the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, and the Catholic Church. The President/CEO directs the provision of all services provided by Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland and acts as primary representative for Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland with Catholic Charities USA and related responsibilities.
The President/CEO will identify the impact of the social teachings of the church on health and human services and programs, promote an awareness of the health and human service needs within the diocese, and guide advocacy in various forums for social reform to meet those needs.
They will also promote the services of Catholic Charities to the local communities and organizations within the region and the Diocese through public presentations, articles, appearances, and public relations efforts as well as coordinate the provision of services and programs of Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland annual goals and objectives into business work plans and oversee execution of the same with the support of the Board of Directors.
The President/CEO will collaborate with the Catholic Community Foundation in setting the goal of the annual Catholic Charities Appeal and in determining the total allocation of funds provided and direct the distribution of Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland funding on an annual basis. They will also approve and administer the annual budget for Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland in accordance with policies and procedures and sound general accounting principles to achieve a successful annual audit.
The President/CEO will attend meetings of the Board of Directors and various committees of the corporation and perform other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the position and as requested by the Members and/or Board of Directors.
Role as Secretary of the Secretariat for Catholic Charities
The successful candidate will be appointed by the Bishop as Diocesan Secretary of the Secretariat for Catholic Charities and will serve in that capacity at the pleasure of the Bishop. The role of Secretary of the Secretariat for Catholic Charities is as an advisor to the Bishop and member of the Bishop's staff reporting to Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia and is distinct from the role as President/CEO of the Corporation.
The role of Secretary will require completion of additional duties, including:
Status as an ex officio member and/or director of certain affiliated corporations, including without limitation Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland, St. Augustine Health Ministries, and the Diocese of Cleveland Facilities Services Corporation.
Serving as a member of the Bishop's Senior Staff engaged in the planning and coordination of the work of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
Collaborating as needed with Auxiliary Bishops, diocesan Secretaries, and diocesan officials.
Acting as liaison for the Bishop with other entities within the Secretariat.
Supporting ministry to the pastoral and spiritual needs of agencies and offices within the Secretariat.
Professional Qualifications:
Master's Degree in a related discipline with 5 - 10 years of progressive senior/executive level management of multiple facets of business including staffing, budget/finance, nonprofit fund development strategies, service design, and operations management experience.
Must be a fully initiated and practicing member of the Roman Catholic Church with solid background and knowledge of the policies and practices of the church.
Must have proven impactful executive level management experience in health and human services, non-profit business management practices, and financial management.
Knowledgeable of the structure of the Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland system and the regional human services/non-profit sector.
Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills as well as presentation skills.
Fiscal, administrative, and supervisory/management experience required with experience in a non-profit setting preferred.
Must have a capacity to build and sustain a strategic and impactful partnership network as demonstrated through previous board involvement, community partnership experience, etc.
Must have the ability to effectively manage people/operations engaged in a variety of concurrent and varying activities.
Must have the ability to effectively relate to a wide variety of stakeholders, both professional and volunteer, as well as organizations and systems, both public and private.
Must be able to coordinate, prioritize, and respond to multiple issues at the same time.
Must have demonstrated business acumen, excellent organizational skills, and strong detail orientation with the ability to work independently. Must be able to make sound decisions and practice discretion.
Must have good technical proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office software products.

About the General Counsel's Office
The General Counsel's Office is responsible for providing timely, coordinated, and thoughtful legal advice that is grounded in applicable laws and tailored to the foundation's programmatic needs, enhancing its ability to achieve its charitable goals. About the Position
This full‑time employee reports to an Associate General Counsel and will provide legal advice and support to the Foundation focusing on corporate and technology‑related matters, including data privacy, intellectual property, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), contracts, and general corporate governance. This will include reviewing and negotiating technology contracts; serving as the primary legal partner for the Information Technology (IT) and Facilities Operations departments; supporting technology projects to improve the processing of grants and contracts; providing thought leadership within the Foundation and within the nonprofit sector on legal issues related to technology, particularly, AI; and leading/advising on projects to keep the Foundation's policies and procedures up to date with the law and best practices.

Responsibilities
Support for IT and Facilities Operations
A core responsibility of this position is to act as primary counsel to the foundation's IT and Facilities Operations teams, providing day‑to‑day legal counsel on technology procurement, cloud and software agreements, licensing, and internal policies and procedures. It is anticipated that this set of responsibilities will take approximately 45 percent of the lawyer's time. Specific duties include:
Advising on data privacy, cybersecurity, AI and incident response readiness.
Partnering with IT and Facilities Operations to strengthen risk management frameworks.
Guiding the responsible use of artificial intelligence tools internally and externally, including evaluating vendors, establishing AI governance frameworks, and developing related policies to create efficiency and optimization.
Managing intellectual property issues, including copyright, trademark, and open‑source compliance.
Contributing to documentation, user guides, and system design testing to embed legal considerations into platform development.
Helping draft, review, and update policies on data governance and retention, and acceptable use of technology.

Engaging with and managing outside counsel.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
The other core responsibility of this position is to act as counsel collaborating with other members of the legal team on technology contracts, software utility and enhancements, grants processing, and related compliance matters. It is anticipated that these responsibilities will take approximately 40 percent of the lawyer's time. Specific duties include:
HR: Support compliance in HR systems (ADP, Everfi, online training platforms).
Finance: Advise on financial systems (Concur, Stampli) and contracts.

Requirements
J.D. with a minimum of three years of relevant legal experience. The ideal candidate should have law firm experience doing a range of technology transactional work. Nonprofit/exempt organization experience is preferred, and in‑house experience is desirable but not required.
Candidate must be a team player, flexible, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Experience adapting complex legal advice to create practical processes and guidance materials for clients, including in‑house users.
Experience negotiating and drafting technology‑related agreements, including software services (including AI‑related products and services), licensing, and data privacy agreements.
Ability to understand the foundation's goals and to counsel staff on how to achieve them efficiently, while appropriately factoring in legal risks and compatibility with the foundation's systems and policies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and a strong ability to deliver quality training experiences to small and large groups.
Project management experience with developing and implementing policies and procedures.
A license to practice law in California or eligibility for such admission at the time of hiring. Registered In‑House Counsel status is acceptable.

The position is based in Menlo Park, California. Staff are working in a hybrid environment and are expected to work from the Hewlett Foundation office at least 2-3 times per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays are required in‑office days), with a minimum of 10 in‑office days per month. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to spend extended periods of time at a computer.
Compensation and Benefits
The Hewlett Foundation is committed to providing compensation that is competitive within the philanthropic sector. We offer a generous total compensation package that emphasizes both base salary and comprehensive benefits, and includes an employer‑assisted housing program. The salary range for this role is $210,000-$230,000. Offers are based on the candidate's years of experience and our practice of maintaining salary equity within the foundation.
