Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Perform assembly of Li Ion batteries using detailed processes like soldering, resistive welding, insulative coating, epoxy application, crimping and wire harness assembly. • Use small hand tools and microscopes to complete detailed assembly work following thorough work instructions • Assist and train other technicians on equipment usage, documentation and battery assembly. • Read, comprehend, and work effectively with mechanical drawings and documentation including bills of materials, assembly drawings, work instructions, and equipment travelers. • Support work in a production environment that is low volume, high mix with high level of quality oversight • Understand traceability requirements, work within an AS9100 quality system, and support MRB processes • Independently take initiative to perform duties diligently and efficiently with limited oversight • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work space. Work together and assist engineers (process, equipment, maintenance, Industrial) during evaluations, problem solving, experiments, and improvements. Improve and maintain a clean work environment by following 5S housekeeping and production area cleaning standards. Improve personal capability by learning and performing improved levels of equipment improvement by developing improved standards of operation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be able to operate and maintain automated equipment, computer systems and/or product distribution systems. Ability to motivate and enable self and others to achieve goals by leveraging strengths and removing barriers to success. Ability to effectively communicate to multiple groups (peers, managers, etc.) Demonstrate motivation and be a self-starter. Must be able to comprehend and document data. Must possess the analytical ability to understand safety hazards and trainable duties as put forth in safety / training programs. Can fix and troubleshoot of routine and on-routine problems. Performs other tasks as assigned by team leadership or Supervisor. Able to read, speak, and understand English. Knowledge and ability work on a computer or similar device Education and Experience: Ideally a high school diploma or similar Minimum 2+ Years in Manufacturing Must have experience working on shifts Working conditions: Must be able to stand and walk 90% of shift - 12 hours per workday. Day Shift 6:45am-7pm / Night Shift: 6:45pm-7am Must be physically able to reach 5ft while lifting 10.31 pounds (very frequently).
