Job Summary : Preserve the quality standards of products by the inspection of incoming materials, in-process work, finished products, and recording the quality results Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Read blueprints and use inspection equipment Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced (primarily machined parts) Inspection and measuring equipment calibration duties (machine shop related equipment) Develop and conduct various inspections on inbound materials from suppliers and outbound internally made products (machined parts and assemblies) Ensure that the quality check procedure in place are followed during every manufacturing phase Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and document the corrective actions that were taken Educate the manufacturing team on quality control issues and work with departmental supervisors to improve overall product quality Create process checklists and coordinate quality inspections with departmental supervisors Required : High School Diploma/GED Required : 2-year minimum QA experience Preferred : 5-year minimum QA experience Preferred : Valid & Current CWI certification (welding inspection) Preferred : Valid & Current CWI certification (welding inspection) Preferred : Oil & Gas product/material/manufacturing industry experience Preferred : Experience with component/assembly inspection Must be able to lift up to 75lbs Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per shift Must be able to read, give, and take direction in English Must be able to work full time and have great attendance Must pass drug screen & background check Must have excellent communication skills Must be detailed oriented, have basic math skills and computer skills Must have a courteous and positive attitude, also have a sense of urgency, drive, pride, and desire to succeed Will be working in a shop environment Well versed at analyzing information, reporting investigation results, and have solid documentation skills Performs tasks associated with the quality control inspection of various products while meeting productivity, quality, safety, behavioral, and attendance expectations Experience with inspecting parts made in a machine shop and the typical inspection equipment typically used to inspect machined parts. 3+ experience using CMM machine is a plus. Job Summary: Reporting to the Quality Team Lead, the Civil Quality Inspector is responsible for the quality control management and civil works acceptance of large scale solar and battery storage projects, with potential involvement with utility scale wind projects in the future. Responsibilities include conducting routine inspections to ensure code, testing, and material compliance of services and products adhere to the standard of Repsol's Quality Management System of renewable energy projects as assigned by the Quality Team Lead, Construction Manager, Project Manager, and others as needed. This position is project-based, and will require relocation to the project location, with occasional travel to other sites as needed. Travel to the Downtown Houston office is limited. Key Responsibilities/Duties: * Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines through daily hazard recognition documentation review and enforcement. * Follow the QA/QC management system at sites. * Use QA/QC computer programs and tablets to document quality records. * Ability to read, interpret, and disseminate contractual language and industry related code information on multi-million-dollar renewable energy construction projects. * Responsible for performing all aspects of Civil inspection activities with minimum supervision. * Scheduling and leading meetings with project team members and management, both with Repsol and the EPC representatives * Work closely with EPC Quality Managers, inspectors, foremen, superintendents, and construction managers to resolve issues throughout construction * Coordinate with Assistant Civil Inspector daily for completion of inspection tasks * Ensure that Civil ITP stages are compliant with standards. * Review IFCs and overall accuracy. * Monitor Civil operations and conduct required work inspection to resolve quality related issues with workers and subcontractors. * Communicate with management and subcontractors on the requirements of Quality's scope of work. * Verify that all site activities comply with the quality codes and standards. * Provide appropriate feedback to management regarding QA/QC matters. * Develop Inspection and Test Programs. * Coordinate quality site inspections with all contractors/subcontractors and vendors. * Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC plan. * Inspect / review product material and testing to ensure compliance with code, standards, specifications, and QCM. * Identify and control all NCR's while ensuring correction with remedial action. * Witness post grade survey and ensure that the finish grade is to engineering specifications. * Witness density testing and ensure that daily testing documentation is in order. * Ensure all quality control turnover documentation is compiled and completed in a timely matter meeting project deadlines or contractual requirements. * Inspect remediation processes for any civil design changes. Refining Area Inspector The Marathon Los Angeles Refinery located in Carson/Wilmington, CA is seeking an Area Inspector to serve as the primary point of contact for fixed equipment integrity issues, including pressure vessels and piping circuits. This role ensures all fixed equipment complies with state regulations, refining standards, and company specifications. The Area Inspector will identify, communicate, and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to mitigate mechanical integrity risks. The available schedule for the position is a 4-10 schedule onsite - 6 AM - 4:30 PM - Monday - Thursday, on-call coverage occurs once every 8 weeks and support of TAR and unplanned outages up to 3 times a year. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough, hands-on field inspections to evaluate the condition of area equipment. Monitor the condition of area equipment by planning, performing, and directing inspections, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures for equipment requiring repair or replacement. Conduct jurisdictional inspections on CAL/OSHA-regulated equipment, such as boilers. Maintain accurate equipment files and collaborate with the RBI Analyst to keep risk assessments current, ensuring compliance with MPC standards. Develop scope and provide supporting documentation (justification, timing, preparation, etc.) for mechanical integrity work on fixed equipment, including routine maintenance, major repairs, and turnarounds. Complete assigned Management of Change (MOC) and INTELEX tasks as directed by the Area Team Leader. Document “as-found” and “as-left” conditions of fixed equipment to support risk-based work planning. Partner with engineering and area teams to identify and support projects that enhance equipment reliability. Assist in problem-solving using tools such as life cycle cost analysis, root cause analysis, HAZOPs, equipment history reviews, and risk-based work selection. Participate in required training programs as identified by the Inspection Supervisor. Serve as Program Manager for specialty projects and programs that support mechanical integrity at LAR. Education, Experience and Skills: Minimum Qualifications Must have a High School Diploma or GED. (Education must be completed prior to start date). Must have at least 5 years as an Inspector in a Refinery or petro-chemical industry. Must have Current API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspection) and API 570 (Piping Inspection) certifications and 5 years of relevant inspection experience. Must be able to obtain NBIC Certification and State of California Certificate of Competency. Must be proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be familiarity with Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) methodologies in accordance with API 580 and 581. Must have good facilitation and leadership skills for conducting meetings.
