As a key team member within the operations team, the position will include a variety of standard and non-standard test projects within the laboratory department assigned for timely and accurate results with supervision support as required. Job description Performs preparation/set-ups/testing/evaluation/monitoring of samples/parts based on Applus-Reliable Analysis SOPs, designated standards, clients' instructions to meet client and/or regulatory needs. Set-ups to include pneumatic cylinders and hydraulic system loops, electro dynamic shakers, environmental chambers and controllers for the equipment listed. Simple test fixture build and teardowns Completes worksheets and/or logbooks to maintain traceability of what was done. Maintains proper records and verifies up-to-date calibration on equipment prior to use. Ensures all work complies with Applus-Reliable Analysis's Q.A manual and all written/verbal instructions. Provides information, opinion and advice to supervisor regarding status of tests. Maintains and repairs testing/prep equipment as required and reports any problems to supervisor immediately. Assists in the generation of technical reports and certificates as required. Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area. Performs other functions as required by immediate supervisor or delegate. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, including CAN Bus and Modbus, for system-level debugging. Highly safety-conscious with training in high-voltage risk assessment, safety protocols, and experience working around heavy construction equipment. Comfortable with frequent and long-term wear of heavy PPE (steel-toed boots, face shields, chemical suits, etc.) as required. An attention to the details and proactive mindset. The Test Equipment Engineering Technician III independently supports and leads the development, build, integration, deployment, and sustainment of complex electro-mechanical test equipment and tooling for advanced unmanned systems supporting defense and commercial applications. Under the direction of the SCADA and Control Systems Manager, a SCADA and Control Systems Technician analyzes, plans, inspects, and participates in highly skilled work within the renewables energy sector. More specifically, spreadsheet and reporting software, Human Machine Interface (HMI), automated control systems, server systems, meteorological systems, field telemetry communications systems, energy information networks, LAN/WAN networks, fiber optic networks, and the latest technology of measurement, data acquisition, and control thereof.
