Under close supervision, the QHSE Advisor I will be responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the Health, Safety, and Environmental programs. The QHSE Advisor I will inspect working conditions of all Business Unit operations to ensure compliance with the occupational safety and health regulations and will make recommendations to management team when identifying gaps or deficiencies.
This position requires the person to work in both office locations and outdoors in all types of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold / heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. The QHSE Advisor I will be regularly exposed to the typical conditions of the local area where operations occur.
The QHSE Advisor I must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. They must be able to work closely with others and under time-sensitive deadlines including potential emergency response situations. They must be willing to work extended schedules that will include working days; and frequent nights, weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure that Ranger Energy Services meets all compliance standards set forth by local, state, and federal agencies
* Assist in completing customer QHSE program questionnaires and attend customer audits
* Monitor, promote, and ensure compliance of QHSE regulations and encourage safe working practices
* Report, document, communicate and correct obvious hazards immediately or in a timely manner as appropriate for the situation
* Conduct onsite documented field audits to assess safety of the well site, employees work practices/ habits and equipment defects and or condition (i.e. compressed cylinders, electrical issues, defective parts, environmental issues, labeling etc.)
* Act as a point of contact in the emergency response notification process and ensure proper communication involves all company representatives that should be involved in the matter
* Ensure incidents are managed according to the best course of action necessary to stabilize the circumstances based on facts and in consideration of Company practices
* Assist in incident investigation processes, including Behavior Justification investigations to determine causal factor(s) and make recommendations for corrective actions collectively with the management team
* Facilitate medical treatment and drug screening for work related incidents using discretion with handling the confidential nature of information made available during the treatment and screening process
* Coordinate between supervisors, HR, Risk Management and the employee any modified duty and return to work programs
* Facilitate training classes for required safety courses in the field and maintain employee-training records
* Work closely with location management, supervisors, and safety personnel to assess, identify, develop and implement new and revised safety and operational policies/procedures and training.
* Responsible for approving and substantiating the necessity of QHSE related expenditures
* Other duties and projects as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Minimum two (2) years in QHSE function; Preferred Bachelor's degree
* Must have 2+ years' experience working in QHSE Advisor role in the oil and gas industry
* Verbal and written communication skills
* Specialist knowledge of OSHA and other governmental agency requirements and knowledge of safety equipment and standards related to the oil and gas industry
* Ability to demonstrate good judgment skills, follow instructions and work well with other employees
* Possess or have the ability to obtain professional certification such as OHST, ASP or CSP

Fabrication / installation of conductor, Braiden-head, casing cut-offs, plug and abandon. Provides bill of material / ISO for installation of Compressors / pig launchers.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Welding Preparation: Obtains specified electrode, based on criteria of raw goods being welded; inserts electrode into rod holder or feeds wire consumable through welding gun. Attaches ground clamp from welding machine to work piece, to dial in the adequate amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse, to known standards. Start engine driven welding machine / electric welding machine to produce desired amps. Scratch start arc to generate heat to produce a molten puddle, depositing filler metal from electrode to work piece; to join edges of work piece. Preheats work piece with hand torch or heating furnace where applicable. Positions and clamps work pieces together or assembles them in jig or fixture. Tacks/welds assemblies together.
Welding: Manually guides electrode or gun along beveled or fillet edge, maintaining length of arc and speed to form specified depth of fusion, width, and convex of weld on welded fixture, visually judged by color of base metal i.e. stainless, sound of weld, and size of molten puddle. Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead on plate; 6G on 2 inch pipe and a butt and branch on 12 inch pipe.
Post Welding Duties: Cleans slag of weld joint. Visually examines weld on i.e. bead size, bead crown convex/concave, porosity, and undercut according to AWS, ASME, API 1104 welding specifications. Repairs out of code equipment/raw goods, i.e. broken, cracked parts and fills cavity. Prepares parts for non-destructive testing (NDT); chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter.
