Job Description
The intern will be expected to work 40 hours a week during the summer. Primary activities include analysis of structures, engineering support, and data analysis. Supplemental activities may involve design and assessment of foundations, dams, retaining structures, ground support systems, storage tanks, and conventional geotechnical or structural analyses. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of experienced engineering staff in these areas.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Must be a senior or graduate level and working toward a bachelor of science or advanced degree in civil engineering with a structural or geotechnical emphasis, or related field
Strong computer skills, spreadsheets and structural analysis software are required
Excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively in writing and orally, and be self-motivated.

Compensation: Hourly wage depends on education and experience. Typical salary range for this position is $21 to $25 per hour, plus statutory insurance requirements.
