What You'll Do Lead field operations on large boundary and renewable energy sites, setting control, staking, and ensuring data accuracy from start to finish. Roll out each day in your company truck, heading to new sites that challenge and reward your technical skills. Operate and maintain Trimble gear (total stations, GPS, data collectors) like the pro you are - precision matters, and your work shows it. Perform boundary, topo, construction layout, and as-built surveys that set the tone for successful projects. Double-check and fine-tune field calculations - because "close enough" isn't part of your vocabulary. Keep clean, detailed field notes - your future self (and the CAD team) will thank you. What You Bring At least 7 years of experience working as a Survey Crew Chief Strong understanding of large boundary surveys and the ins and outs of energy project work. Confidence working with Trimble equipment and Trimble Business Center. Solid communication skills - you know how to keep your team in sync. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and survey data like a roadmap. Willingness to travel occasionally for bigger projects (and the occasional adventure). Land Solutions, Project Manager - Utility & Transmission (Midwest Region) Job Summary The Land Solutions Project Manager (PM) will oversee complex utility and transmission projects across the Midwest region (WI, IL, and surrounding states). The PM will serve as the primary client liaison, responsible for defining scope, schedule, and budget, leading the project team, and ensuring successful execution of all phases of project delivery. This position requires a proven background in utility and transmission right-of-way projects, from permitting and land acquisition through project closeout. Essential Functions Develop and execute project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and staffing. Lead cross-functional teams in the acquisition of property rights, permitting, and stakeholder coordination for transmission and utility projects. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing consistent updates and progress reporting. Manage contracts, proposals, and change orders to ensure alignment with project objectives and profitability. Monitor project performance metrics, financials, and deliverables using project management tools such as Deltek Vision. Coordinate with sub-consultants, land agents, and document teams to maintain project accuracy and accountability. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree. 5+ years of experience managing utility, transmission, or right-of-way projects. Proven understanding of easement acquisition, permitting, and landowner negotiations. Strong project management, leadership, and client communication skills. Experience working with GIS-based systems and project-tracking tools.
