Job Description:
As the Lifespring Attendant, your scope of responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Providing physical and emotional support to Participants. Observing and reporting changes in physical and emotional status applying basic knowledge of body systems and common diseases.
Directing group activities and motivating the participants as directed by the Lifespring Day Services Manager. This includes but is not limited to facilitating concurrent activities, directing or assisting with group activities, assisting with community outings, and providing participants with resources for self-recreation
Serving meals and snacks while promoting a dignified dining experience. Assisting participants in cutting food, opening cartons, pouring beverages, and providing verbal cueing as needed, during mealtime. Monitoring Participants food intake, as directed. Dispensing nutritional supplements and documents used, as ordered.
Assisting up to 28 participants per day with activities of daily living. This includes but is not limited to, assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, personal hygiene, ambulation, transfers, and laundering personal clothing items. Utilizing proper body mechanics when lifting, transferring, and walking with participants and in all other job duties.
Regularly interacting with family members to provide updates, answer questions, resolves concerns, and ensures safety to provide for Participants needs. May participate in the review/revision of Participant care plans and meetings.
Maintaining an orderly environment through light housekeeping, including but not limited to cleaning communal areas, setting tables, washing dishes, collecting trash, and washing the participants and community laundry.
Education Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Three to five years of work-related experience providing direct care to older adults is required.
Current enrollment in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry is strongly preferred.
CPR/FA/AED certification is required.

General Responsibilities
Review the timing, accuracy, and appropriateness of all revenue, resident accounts, and
cash accounting in order to support the preparation of monthly financial statements.
Responsible for providing oversight of Medical Assistance, Medicare, third-party payor
reimbursement, and private pay billing; monitoring accounts receivable agings; supervising
collection efforts and timely cash flow from receivables; performing various billing and
administrative duties; implementing strategies to achieve goals as established in the
department’s annual operating plan; insuring the department’s compliance with operating

and human resources of the department; directly supervising assigned personnel;

Ensures timely completion of billing and month-end close processes for all payors as assigned.
Identifies and resolves accounts receivable problems in coordination with Corporate Director of Account Receivable /Reimbursement.
Ensures the department is in compliance with all regulatory requirements; takes appropriate actions to respond to and correct any deficiencies resulting from regulatory reviews or audits.
Performs a variety of duties to manage other business functions as follows:
Communicates with resident, families, powers of attorney, trust officers, Program staff, and other individuals regarding financial and benefits issues.
Educates residents, families, power of attorney, trust officers, Program staff, and other individuals regarding financial and benefits issues.
If applicable, manages application process with external agencies such as County Assistance Office, coordinates input from various sources, including the Program’s Nursing Department, and those individuals who represent the resident to secure benefits from the entitlement program on a timely basis.

Essential Duties
Administers medications and treatments in the appropriate area and time. Properly identifies the resident, medication, label directions, and route of administration. Assures that the medication and treatments are maintained in a locked/secured area. Effectively reports medication needs and concerns to the pharmacy. Maintains narcotic records accurately according to interdepartmental guidelines and reports any narcotic discrepancies to the Health Services Manager.
Performs routine administrative tasks such as completing lab slips, scheduling appointments and transportation, preparing podiatry lists, maintenance requests.
Admits, transfers, and discharges residents following written physician’s orders and in accordance with Agency policy.
Monitors all lab work assuring that all testing is done in compliance with physician’s orders and state and federal regulations. Consults with the physician regarding abnormal results and follows through with suggested and approved actions.
Accurately evaluates resident’s physical and emotional status. Notifies physician of any changes in condition.
Administers professional services such as Foley care, dressing applications and changes, hot and cold packs, O2 therapy, etc. using appropriate aseptic technique.

General Responsibilities
