Tracks revisions to the ERCOT Protocols, Market Guides, and Other Binding Documents (ERCOT rules) and facilitates development of Rayburn comments and feedback. Participates in the implementation of approved revisions into the Protocols, Market Guides, and Other Binding Documents. Principal Duties and Responsibilities / Knowledge Develops, maintains and/or supports policies and processes consistent with ERCOT Protocols, Market Guides, and Other Binding Documents (ERCOT rules). Tracks upcoming changes to ERCOT rules and provides input on operating procedure revisions. Assists with the development of training on new and existing ERCOT rules. Acts as a liaison with applicable ERCOT subcommittees and working groups and participates in ERCOT rulemaking with these groups. Incorporates ERCOT rule changes in existing NERC/FERC and Texas PUCT rule frameworks. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with other Electric Cooperative staff and Market Participants. Develops and maintains working knowledge of operations needed to support external and internal business needs. Develops and maintains strong expertise in business procedures and rules. Identifies and participates in appropriate training to maintain current professional or functional skills and develop new skills, as required. Has, or can develop, a working understanding of the core concepts behind the generation and delivery of electricity. Escalates issues to the Director of Engineering and Transmission Services in an appropriate manner. Key Accountabilities Complies with all policies, procedures and confidentiality agreements effective as a result of employment with Rayburn. Shares information with Rayburn management and staff, contractors, and other third parties in a timely manner, as required. Delegates jobs and tasks to appropriate employees, providing complete information and resources to properly complete such jobs and tasks. Provides Rayburn management with updates and/or reports on work and tasks as requested or required. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or executive management. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensure the safety and reliability of Joint Use entities Accompany designers and meet with members, developers and contractors, consultants and government entities to discuss the process and procedures for supplying electric power Research, acquire record, prepare and verify required overhead or URD easements Research to ensure customer deed information is correct and updated Check right of way easements and obtain permits, if required Obtain road crossing permits Notify warehouse of material/transformer requirements Assist designers with notification to the Meter Shop of Current Transformer Trans Socket requirements Assist designers in creating designs and materials lists for overhead and underground distribution facilities Draw new distribution facilities within the Global Information System Assist in requesting vegetation clearing or trimming from the Vegetation Maintenance Department . Assist the planners with sending joint use letters Inspect overhead and URD line extensions Assist with the preparation of cost estimates for new line extensions and relocations Learn to utilize survey measurements such as prisms, theodolites and measuring equipment, chain saws and assorted tools Coordinate with other departments, i.e., right of way, construction, department planners and pole contacts Learn, interpret, adhere to and enforce company policies, i.e., Safety, Line Extension and the National Electric Safety Code Prepare small scale distribution design with supervision Provide proper and routine maintenance and care for assigned vehicles and tools Operate PEC vehicle(s) for business purposes in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and local law and PEC policies and procedures Maintain driver eligibility through appropriate valid Texas Driver's License and driving record in accordance with PEC policy Maintain the security of confidential information Stay abreast of advances in technology Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned .. ... ... ... ... Provides assistance to Rayburn Country Electric Cooperative, Inc.'s (Rayburn's) power supply team. Principal Duties and Responsibilities / Knowledge Conducts complex market and portfolio modeling and analysis to effectively monitor Rayburn's exposure to market changes. Integrates all power supply changes into portfolio model to properly quantify risk. Reviews Rayburn's compliance with power supply hedging and risk management policies Possesses/works towards a deep understanding of the ERCOT nodal market to properly capture market structure within the portfolio model. Assists with Rayburn's power supply activities and develops portfolio model with third parties as needed. Supports the development of the cost-of-service analysis (COSA) rates and rate schedules. Maintains a working knowledge of power supply trends and costs. Collaborates with internal departments to analyze power supply issues and billing impacts. Job Specifications / Skills Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Field or Engineering or equivalent experience; Advance degree is preferred. Experience: 1-5 years prior nodal modeling and analytics is preferred.
