You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. A CNC operator must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metals and their properties is essential.
Responsibilities
Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
Determine the appropriate tooling and forming methods based on drawing requirements
Set up machines in according to specifications
Misc manufacturing processes. Package, Countersink, Time Save, deburr, Daily machine P.M.
Align components using calipers, rulers, clamp pieces, etc.
Assemble fabricated components
Repair machinery and other components as needed
CAD design (Solidworks) as needed
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Requirements
Proven working experience as CNC Laser Operator, CNC Brak Operator, & CAD (Solidworks) - 5 years
Experience using a variety CNC fabrication equipment. Setup and calculation of bend deduction and part adjustments for material compensation.
Experience adjusting CNC Laser/Brakes. Nest and sheet utilization
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Use measuring equipment. (Calipers & Tape measures)
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
Deftness and attention to detail
Stand for long periods of time 6 - 8 hours a day
Lift-up to 50-80 lbs.
Able to obtain a forklift certification
Team Player and ability to work overtime when required.

Plan gallery design concepts by studying manufacturers and product lines as assigned
Provide for the upkeep of retail galleries by planning for space, transferring floor merchandise in and out of the gallery and accessorizing
Regularly meet and collaborate with Buyers on product selection for galleries
Select furniture, accessories, rugs, paint, wallpaper and other finishes for the galleries and existing areas
Work with accessory and accent category buyers to select product for galleries
Attend High Point furniture markets with Buyers and assist with new trends
Meets with buyers and manufacturer representatives to discuss new and discontinued inventory on the floor
Coordinate furniture repairs and lighting needs with appropriate departments
Assist Sales and Design Consultants as well as customers with decorating ideas
Maintain inventory standards through scanning product and participating in cycle scans and annual inventory
Coordinate floor technician assistance via work requests
Help maintain staging areas, tools and design carts
Work on special projects and FLS events as needed
Other duties as assigned
Working conditions
This job is an onsite position and operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones. This is an onsite position.
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This individual would require extended periods of standing and/or walking.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Interior Design or related and three to five years of experience in the furniture industry, or an associate degree and five to seven years of experience in the furniture industry or any similar combination of education and experience. Knowledge of home furnishing brands is required.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
Five years' experience in merchandising in furniture or closely related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Review assigned DSR requests with design director & client contact personnel (AM / PM) and acquire any details that are not clear or understood.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Project Matrix. Produce accurate drawings of AutoCAD, space planning, conceptual drawings, renderings and product application. Put together budgetary pricing as well as order ready specs. Will work with Senior Designer to double-check one's own work.
Generate accurate specifications for approved plan by having complete knowledge of specification including fabric/finishes based on finish schedule provided by AM.
Plot installation drawings for upcoming jobs, notifying Account/Project Manager and asking for any additional information not previously given. Submit installation drawings one week prior to installation.
Create accurate as built drawings per site visit. Maintain and update as built drawings from markups received back from Account/ Project Manager. Notify Account/Project Manager via email or in person of complete/dated as built drawings.
Manage project folder with current up to date files, archiving old ones. Follow standard labeling process.
Create J-box/Data ACAD plans in reference to systems furniture.
Provide alternative design solutions to client.
Must be capable of self-checks & double checks before submitting for quick review check by Senior Designer.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Associate or bachelor's degree in design or related field preferred.
Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in Design or related field preferred.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
Good knowledge of Canvas.
Good knowledge of ProjectSpec (sif).
Good knowledge of ProjectSymbols (cad).
Good knowledge of Haworth products.
Good knowledge of office furniture industry.
Excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills.
Outstanding time management skills and proven ability to work well under deadline pressure.
Detail oriented and self-sufficient.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
