What You Will Do
Provide technical support and problem solving for aircraft wheels and brakes, brake control systems and wheel and brake repair and overhaul activities
Perform initial investigations (data gathering) of airline wheel and brake problem reports; assist with technical problem analysis (root cause identification and implementation of corrective actions)
Conduct maintenance training for airline and maintenance shop personnel
Provide front line support to Customer Support Engineering (CSE)
Gather and report component reliability data
Provide warranty support by investigating and adjudicating claims and issuing scrap certificates
Conduct consignment stock audits at customer sites as required
Support airline Regional Business Managers and the Airline Sales team
Organize and support UTAS senior management customer visits to the regions
Serve as local expert for B787 electro-mechanical brake system (EMBS) test equipment
Support landing gear FieldService with maintenance structural interventions as required
Provide engineering support to Landing Systems service centers
Provide temporary onsite support to Landing Systems FieldService worldwide as required
Position would be covering North and South America
Expected to travel extensively
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience
4 or more years of experience with design and/or maintenance of aircraft, aircraft systems, or aircraft appliances.

What You Will Do
Perform product implementation, modifications, and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
Focused on team-oriented tasks while supporting the customer's mission and initiatives.
Ensure training requirements (customer and company) are kept up to date and completed ahead of schedule.
Monitor, analyze and characterize the performance of complex data processing systems.
Isolated faults - Trace faults and distinguish between hardware and software fault sources.

Maintain sensor equipment on aircraft.

Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5+ years of prior engineering experience.
Experience with military, data processing, system administration, radar, IR, or radio frequency.
Experience and expertise in sensor payload maintenance and Avionics.
Experience using UNIX.
Comprehension of RADAR philosophy, U.S. Air Force flight line courtesies and regulations, and Solaris.
Ability to deploy anywhere in the world at a moment's notice.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Aircraft maintenance and flight line.

Key Responsibilities
Forecasts financial, manpower, and operational requirements for key businesses (start up, warranty, service agreements, paid service). Identifies and pursues service agreement business in conjunction with marketing and sales.

**Job Description**
This is a FieldService Role supporting customers throughout parts of the US, Central and South America as needed. This position will be based out of Auburn, Alabama or West Chester, OH. Travel expectations are up to 100% (Road Warrior). The FieldService Engineer will work on a team or individually, to install, perform preventive maintenance, repairs and deliver trainings on Colibrium additive manufacturing machines. These activities contribute to customer's production machines operating at peak performance, producing quality parts, meeting production schedules, and meeting or exceeding quality & industry standards.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- The FieldService Engineer will work on a team or individually, to install, perform preventive maintenance, repair and training across the region.
- Perform total system level troubleshooting on complex multi-symptom problems.
-Able to communicate technical ideas, trainings and subjects through written and verbal communications.
- Work with Service and Additive engineering teams to resolve complicated mechanical, electrical, electronic, and /or process problems for customer machines.
- Help in all areas of site preparation (coordination of labor and materials) with minimal supervision.
- Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures.
- Maintain effective quality systems and programs according to the GE Aerospace Service Quality Policy Statement.
- Responsibly complete all administration tasks on time (e.g., ensure timely completion of Service Bulletins and PMs inspections documentation for assigned accounts).
- Maintain daily interface with Customer technicians on equipment status to ensure satisfaction of primary customers.
Required qualifications:
- B.Sc. Engineering / Associates degree and 2 years technical experience, a High School Diploma and 5 years fieldservice or electrical / mechanic technician experience, or equivalent military experience.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as business requires.
- Willingness to work Weekends and Holidays as needed.
- Proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and system level, using identifiable problem-solving techniques.
- Shows Initiative, high standards, motivation and outside of the box thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information.
- Demonstrated ongoing effort to maintain knowledge of current technology.
- Excellent communication skills, listening skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer skills and deals tactfully and effectively with differences of opinion (e.g., influences rather than directs).

The base pay range for this position is $70,000-$85,000 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
