What You Will Do:
Responsibilities include planning, organizing, resource allocation, personnel development, performance re‐views, salary planning, and overall group management of FPGA and SW engineers.
Project execution direction to the engineering team.
Will work directly with and/or manage daily activities of FPGA and SW engineers, project engineering, program management, and supporting organizations to develop FPGAs and BSP SW solutions for military products based on product line architectures.
Will lead the engineering team using strong interaction, interpersonal, mentoring and negotiating skills, and will be responsible for managing project risks/issues and elevating to upper management when appropriate.
Will be responsible for adhering to and supporting Collins process methodologies while developing and managing commitments to meet project financial and schedule deliverables and quality requirements.
Will guide and lead development processes, develop the team composition, and will be responsible for training.
Candidate will work directly with systems engineering teams and coordinate requirements identification, development and acceptance testing of software deliveries.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required.
Ability to matrix multiple programs and development tasks while supporting the various projects objectives of cost and schedule.
Experience in all product development phases from concept, initial planning, Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), final qualification testing, and factory transition is highly desired.
High-level understanding of systems and hardware development.
