Our Troy, OH site is seeking a Wheel Value Stream Machinist to perform required inspections and process checks. 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday 11P - 7A What You Will Do Receive job assignments and instructions from the supervisor. Read and follow standard operating procedures, blueprints, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and other relevant documents. Pre-set and maintain tools, fixtures, and gages; assist with tool life studies. Monitor and adjust CNC programs; consult supervisor for edits and ensure proper handling of program changes. Load and unload parts using hand, hoist, or robot assist. Machine and deburr parts, maintain set-up, and record data through shop floor terminals. Stamp identification codes on parts and record quality information on SPC/PCL charts. Report and stop production for any non-conforming parts; contact supervisor if needed. Clean and maintain work areas and equipment and perform daily operator TPM. Check and maintain fluid levels; oil machines as required. Move material between workstations and cells using hand trucks, hoists, or robots. Perform secondary operations and assist with developing and implementing improved tooling and procedures. Retrieve items from the tool crib and complete necessary forms. Attend training and meetings; perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. You will be required to perform mathematical calculations requiring addition, subtraction, multiplication or division and pass a pre-employment qualification test. You will be required to perform substantial reaching and moving while standing, twisting; stooping; and be response to sounds associated to the work environment. You will be required to lift to 25 lbs. unassisted, anything over 25 lbs. would be assisted. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment as required. You will be required to adhere to all EH&S roles and responsibilities as stated in manufacturing work instructions and EHS policies and procedures. Preferred Skills and Abilities Skilled in the use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and optical comparators. Ability to read and understand blueprints to manufacture parts to engineering specifications.
