Position Summary:
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in providing exceptional service and support for our analytical instrumentation. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of service-related functions, including the repair, maintenance, and performance verification of assigned products, including demo equipment and instruments returned from customers.

Compensation & Benefits:
This full-time, non-exempt position comes with a comprehensive benefits package. After one year of employment, you will also be eligible for a generous short-term disability program with the company covering 100% of monthly premiums.

Qualifications
The individual must be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills as well as proven customer service. Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work under minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks and interact with others in a professional manner. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Experience in the construction industry is required.
Education Requirements
Position prefers a High School Diploma with a basic understanding of the office setting operations.
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge of computers and various computer programs
Knowledge of CAD preferred.
Willingness to take-on and/or learn new things.

This role will provide value for our clients in both pre-sales design and post-sales implementation. This role will perform the following responsibilities:
Collaborate with the sales team to build a winning strategy for our clients.
Perform necessary Pre-Sales technical functions to create systems designs.
Build Bill of Materials (BoM), create illustrations and diagrams and provide Statements of Work (SoW).
Relay technical information to both technical and non-technical staff.
Post-Sales Implementation of systems designed.
Produce post Implementation project documentation.
Provide proficient end-user systems administration training (post implementation) of CompuNet installed solutions
Develop strategic relationships with our key manufacturer Partner SE's.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $175,000 per year. Actual salary will depend on a variety of factors, including location and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, experience, training, certifications, education, or performance. This position is eligible for variable compensation, such as commission, bonuses, and profit sharing, in addition to the base salary.

Assists with general cleaning of lot and building. Maintains the outside lot, miscellaneous equipment.
Responsibilities:
Plugging in equipment outside in weather conditions
Charging and starting equipment
Maintains the lot for seasonal conditions, such as mowing the lawn and snow removal
Organizing the lot on a daily basis
Able to move equipment
Dumping garbage cans
