Position parts to be joined under presser foot and lowers presser foot or uses hand tools to perform operations such as marking, cut apart, turn / pick, cut and measure, snap setting, punching, and/or trim and inspect. Start, stop, and control speed of machine with pedal or knee lever when required. Notify supervisor equipment malfunction. Cut excess thread or material using hand tools when required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot the cost accounting system to ensure accurate costing and seamless integration with other ERP modules. Update and validate standard costs for manufactured parts, including rolling standards and ensuring the accuracy of the bill of materials to support accurate product costing. Coordinate with the supply chain department to process annual updates of standard costs for purchased parts (raw materials). Initiate and audit periodic cycle counts to ensure the accuracy of physical inventory. Conduct monthly reviews of ERP inventory reports, addressing negative inventory transactions and collaborating with production and IT teams to implement system enhancements for data integrity. Monthly review of production jobs to identify pending items/transactions preventing jobs from being closed. Work with production teams to fix exceptions and prepare jobs for closing. Review and analyze standard and actual costs for variances. Prepare reports explaining variances. Prepare and analyze periodic inventory reserves reconciliation. Analyze for risk and potential impairments. Take an active role in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring the accuracy of cost-related entries and supporting the annual financial audit with detailed reports.
