Production Supervisors - Morgantown, Kentucky
REAL ALLOY is seeking Production Supervisors who will be responsible for supervising the hourly employees on the assigned shift and in the assigned department (i.e. Rotary, Reverb, or SPF). Production Supervisors are responsible for driving safety, production requirements, and process improvements for their assigned shift.
Production Supervisors will:
* Ensures compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and company policies and procedures.
* Schedules and directs employees in assignment and completion of shredder production work, including overtime scheduling. Creates and trains a team of workers to achieve or exceed budgeted production goals while maintaining compliance with environmental and other regulatory requirements.
* Oversees production schedules, quality specifications, according to customer requirements.
* Verifies inventory of raw materials, finished goods and production supplies and enforces Inventory and Quality Control Procedures.
* Explain and provide guidance regarding instructions, specifications, and job orders to employees.
* Supports initiatives and projects which drive continual improvement, foster a culture of safety leadership, development of employees, and support business objectives.
* Direct efforts to comply with general plant policies, plant safety and housekeeping policies and programs, and environmental policies and programs.
* Meets established production schedules, quality specifications, and required deviations according to customer requirements.
* Ensure proper record keeping of shift activities. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
* Ensure defined procedures are followed when emergency and/or unique situations arise.
* Responsible for the safeguarding of all plant assets.
* Maintain a harassment free work environment procedure.
* As needed, operates the plant spectrometer by established procedures to ensure correct customer chemistries.
Qualifications
Production Supervisor
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to three years directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education and directly related supervisory experience.
* Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations is required.
* Proven ability to develop, implement and manage systems and procedures and work with minimal supervision while also leading others toward plant goal achievement.
* Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and team leadership skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel.
* Oracle experience preferred.

Essential Job Duties
Ensure polymer resin preparation, material modifications, accurate data collection.
Accurately maintain process conditions and all other required paper work, or records.
Provide support to new product design and process development.
Provide technical assistance for the Polymer Processing group and Physical Testing Laboratory if needed.
Provide trouble-shooting techniques for processing a variety of resins types.
Perform minor mechanical repairs to lab equipment when needed.
Operate lab scale extruders, thermo-formers, etc.
