A Ph.D. degree in finance, economics, or realestate-related disciplines is required. Previous experience as a faculty member at an AACSB-accredited institution, evidence of excellence in teaching realestate or related courses, and demonstrated realestate thought leadership are preferred. Significant experience in realestate investments or development is also preferred. The faculty member will be a member of the Finance Area within the McIntire School and have the opportunity to develop close working relationships with faculty in other schools across the University.
To be considered for a tenure-track position with indefinite tenure, the candidate should have a strong research record publishing in top Finance and Economics outlets such as the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, the American Economic Review, etc.
