Akerman LLP seeks a Real Estate Associate with 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with sophisticated clients on complex real estate transactions, with a particular focus on data center and energy-related projects. Prior data center and energy experience, specifically with data center development and financing, is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting purchase and sale agreements, with preference given to those who have worked on agreements related to power infrastructure contingencies, including powered land sales and purchases. This position requires abilities in analyzing various development issues including power, water, fiberoptic infrastructure, zoning, entitlements, permits, and land use and experience in closing real estate transactions. Excellent writing and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team are required. This position can be located in any Akerman office; however, Dallas office location is preferred. Must possess Am Law 100 firm experience, Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school, and bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in the jurisdiction of resident office location.
