A premier New York City realestate law platform is adding an Associate Attorney to its administrative law and rent regulation practice.
This role is designed for an attorney with real DHCR and rent stabilization experience who wants substantive responsibility, litigation exposure beyond agency proceedings, and a long-term platform-without the pressure of bringing a book.
You'll handle sophisticated rent regulation and landlord-tenant matters for institutional owners and operators, with regular exposure to administrative agencies

This is not a volume housing court role and not a book-or-die position.
What You'll Work On
• Litigating administrative law matters before DHCR, OATH, NYC Commission on Human Rights, NYS Division of Human Rights, and New York Supreme Court
• Defending complex claims involving rent overcharge, succession, harassment, discrimination, and deregulation
• Drafting Article 78 petitions, agency submissions, and motion practice
• Advising on Rent Stabilization Law, Rent Stabilization Code, and Rent and Eviction Regulations
• Conducting rent regulatory and administrative due diligence
• Collaborating with senior attorneys on strategic litigation and advisory matters
• Contributing to thought leadership and client-facing publications (no sales pressure)
What We're Looking For
• Meaningful experience in rent regulation, DHCR practice, and administrative law

What you will do:
PGIM RealEstate's Originations team engages in all aspects of the loan origination process. As a Senior Investment Associate on the Northeast Originations team, you would be responsible for helping to facilitate the originations of multifamily and commercial realestate debt investments for Prudential's wide variety of capital sources including general account, separate accounts, core plus debt fund, structured debt strategies, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA.

Overview of Role

Responsibilities
Participate in execution of live deals in RealEstate which may include sell-side M&A, buy-side M&A, spin-offs, split-offs/carve-outs, LBOs, Debt Advisory and Equity Advisory with significant cross-border emphasis
Oversee analysts and perform financial modelling, valuation, comparable and relative value analyses and market-specific analysis, including three-statement integrated financial models and relevant valuation outputs/sensitivities
Undertake broad range of corporate finance transactions for reviewing strategic alternatives, acquisitions, mergers and equity and debt capital market's events
Assist in preparation of client pitches and marketing materials including acquisitions, disposals, mergers, refinancing and equity capital market alternatives, as well as associated internal documentation through coordination with internal and external resources
