Opportunity to learn and grow. The people I get to work with. There are some really smart people willing to share their knowledge. The benefits are great, especially the 401k
Sometimes you have to do more than one job. The plus side is you learn something new. The downside you never have enough time to do it all as well as you would like to.
The flexible schedule, the employer contribution to the 401k, WFH if I need to, the pop up lunches for employees.
They are accessible and friendly. They have loyalty to the company.
Find a way to let go of the little things that don’t matter so our energy change focused just on the important - get back to RBS.
Reviewed the website and job posting.
Above average.
I think it’s pretty good.
Working together to achieve our goals.
Pay is good. I like my coworkers
No one is really sure of the direction of the company. Management is subpar and communication is really lacking. There is no formal structure for employee evaluations and how pay is decided.
The pay is good. We do have occasional company provided lunches.
I don't know much about them but I think they could do a better job at communicating the direction of the company and motivating people.
Communication of company goals, long and short-term goals. Provide a path for career growth, do just pay people to pay them cuz it sounds good. Unite the two plants so that there isn't this idea that Moses Lake is being supported by Butte. Look at attendance policies so that people are treated like humans and not numbers. Look at the HR person who controls everything and isn't very nice to people.
I researched the company and the job description.
Very good compared to other companies.,
I think there are extremes, some people in management don't speak very good English.
my co-workers bring me the most joy.
The company culture of continuously striving to improve something for a familial atmosphere and employees is an advantage.
Everybody is very busy due to restart of plant. I expect that we will have some improvement in the system and process after settle down
Competitive salary and 401K Work from home is avialable
They actively communicate with employees about what's going on in the company and company performance.
I can come up with various idea to improve our work system
I looked for lots of news and social media posting for REC
It's very competitive. The company is bench marking the market data every year
It's getting better. The culture of the company respect diversity and provides diversity training as well.
One enjoyable aspect of working here is that the company cares not only for me but also for my family. There are many events organized for families, and they also provide gifts that can be shared with family members. The company doesn't take for granted the sacrifices or support from families; rather, they genuinely appreciate it.
As a company responsible for critical industries shaping the future of humanity such as semiconductors, AI, secondary batteries, and solar energy, I believe that one of the advantages of working at REC is the high potential for the company's future development
The current rapid changes and the resulting high workload may be considered a disadvantage, but I view them as necessary for the changes needed for the future.
I believe immediate benefits are not important because I am focused on working towards the vision of the future
"The most advantageous aspect is the continuous provision of transparent information and the presentation of future visions.
Given the current period of restructuring within the company, I believe a mindset geared towards working a little harder from all employees is necessary
.
In terms of financial aspects, it is similar to the average chemical company.
.
,
We have good benefit's and ok pay they treat us good.
More communication on how the company is doing and also on the startup of FBR on how the new packing system is working.
I do like coming to work i like the people i work with we get along with each other.
I like that they iKnowledge us when we pass each other in the hall or in passing.
More interaction with other departments and management.
I prepared on things that i think they are going to ask me related to the job.
I think it is average.
I think they are good.
I like the people that i work with and my boss is very understanding on family.
Benefits, pay and coworkers are the best around.
Lack of direction, two many chiefs. Upper management is out of touch with how the plant actually runs and what resources are necessary.
Just pay and benefits, no perks at REC.
Feeling part of a team with the same goals of producing the highest quality product safely and efficiently....not here just to collect a paycheck. Commumication from CEO down is good.
Some projects are rushed. REC waited too long to hire staff prior to November startup.
401K. Employee appreciation food, gifts, activities etc.
Communication
Do whatever it takes to supply Hanwah AND the new battery startups in Moses Lake. This will support jobs and inter-company relations in the community. Also there's a bit of negativity among employees with many years at REC towards newbies, although fortunately this seems to be decreasing as time goes by.
Just be myself in the interview. Ask questions because the interview is not just the company interviewing me but I'm also interviewing the company to see if the company is a good fit for me and my values.
Pays better than most other manufacturing sites in the county, but not as good as the new battery startups.
Seems to be the same representation of diversity found in the county.
My coworkers.
I like the insurance and LifeFlight.
Work schedule.
Pay could be better and not much overtime.
They have a positive attitude.
More events and more training.
I prepared my interview at REC Silicon by my previous experience.
lower than average
I feel good about it overall..
Some of the people I work with
insurance is very good. my current schedule is good.
lack of leadership in other depts, FBR needs a massive work to get up and going, yet nobody knows what's going on, the different shifts do not communicate or leave a tie in for the next shift.
Training, and potential for growth .
nothing to report.
Communication between different departments.
I just came into it being me, and did nothing special to prepare..
Certain depts. need to address and revaluated for sure, as they are way below the area average for wages. Other wages are paying about average.
NA
Potential for growth, my boss, and the freedom that my supervisor knows i will stay on task and not be micromanaged.
Enjoy smaller companies that allow diversity of opportunities and responsibilities. Individuals are given the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the company. Your influence can be as great as you want to make it.
Internal advancement means that some of the management has limited experience in management and they seem to struggle with consistently leading the company and portraying confidence and true leadership.
Pay is very competitive.
They are all very likable but only have minimal leadership experience.
Communication could be more open,, complete, and consistent.
Reviewing company history, goals, and markets. They reached out to me so primary preparation was mapping experience with company needs.
Compensation was originally above average for industry but is now just averag
Never had an issue with diverse demographics - company tries to hire diversely but local community tends to attract less diversity.
Being able to help others and help teach them to improve their processes
Vacation.. time away.
They pay well.
myriad
No discrimination observed at REC. As a general principle, prioritizing demographic diversity over diversity of thought negatively impacts productivity and profitability of corporations, organizations, and governments.
Some team members have great knowledgebase of processes and history of REC due to many years of service. Some greater than 30 years! Able to work with these folks to learn and grow.
Benefits are good, PTO accumulation rate is helpful.
Consistent with sharing of information via company newsletter. This keeps team members informed.
Departmental team building activities/events.
Reviewed own resume, thought through past experiences I would like to touch on during questioning.
Compensation is average for my experience and area.
Organization as a whole has a diverse population across multiple departments and operation teams.
Human Resource sponsored employee events and contests.
REC Silicon has built a great culture. The people I work with make the job great.
NA
Its great having a golf, swim, and ski pass. I utilize these regularly with my family.
The leadership in Butte is excellent. They keep me informed of where the company is going and have provided me with ample opportunities to advance my education.
I try to build a more safety oriented mindset. People can get lazy when they see a shortcut, but doing it the correct way is always best.
I prepared for my job interview by reviewing various topics related to my job.
Currently my compensation is below average, but this is currently being reviewed by upper management.
Not great, REC in Butte is primarily local people from the surrounding areas who have lived here their whole lives. I don't see this as a downside, because I think it stems from the fact that people who are born here usually don't leave.
The most fulfilling part of work is problem solving. For me this usually includes finding solutions to make employees jobs safer and more efficient.
I thought the pros of working at REC Silicons are receiving competitive salaries, comprehensive health benefits, and a safe workplace.
I think the cons of working at REC Silicon is its location. REC Silicon is located in the countryside.
My favorite benefits at REC Silicon are competitive salaries and comprehensive health benefits.
What I like best about the leadership at REC Silicon is its visionary approach and the CEO's ability to inspire innovation across the organization.
I would improve the company culture by actively promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels of the organization.
I prepared for an interview at REC Silicon by thoroughly researching the company's history, its position in the silicon industry, and its recent innovations and sustainability efforts. In addition to understanding REC Silicon's business, I reviewed the job description to align my skills and experiences with the company's needs. To demonstrate my qualifications, I prepared to deliver details of my previous jobs, highlighting specific projects and achievements that showcase my expertise in the field and my potential contributions to REC Silicon's goals.
The company offers competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, and various incentives that collectively stand out in the silicon production sector.
I feel very positive about the representation of diverse demographics within our organization. We have made significant strides in creating a workforce that reflects a wide range of cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives.
Personally, the most fulfilling aspect of my work at REC Silicon is the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that have a real impact on advancing sustainable energy solutions. Being part of a team that is at the forefront of developing high-quality silicon materials for solar panels and electronics not only challenges me intellectually but also aligns with my personal values regarding environmental conservation.
I have been given many career opportunities at REC over the years. It has been an amazing 28 years of doing things I never thought I would learn or do in my career.
Employees get 401 K from the company by years of service. 50% match up to 6% for all employees additional 4% for all employees additional 6% for employees with 10 Years of service additional 7% for employees with 20 years of service
at times downturn in the polysilicon market
Leadership at REC allows me to work on things that i typically would not able to in my role and make an impact on areas that are important to me .
I just stated all truths about my background and my desire to be a part of an amazing team. Also conveyed that i am a dedicated employee who is in it for the long haul
Have more time and funds to involve all employees in more company events and team building activities.
Above Average
We have a very diverse workplace and people seem to enjoy that overall
Seeing people enjoy themselves at work and volunteering for events . Enjoying company events like picnics , parties etc
The company is a progressive company in the fore front of green energy, it's provides for collaborative thinking. It has a good safety culture, and everyone looks out for each other.
For me I don't see any cons of working at REC Silicon.
The medical is really good and the quarterly employee appreciation lunches are fantastic.
I went online to research what the company produced and it's involvement in green energy and the environment.
Get more employees involved in safety and looking out for each other by listening to the employee and provide opportunities for them to participate in some decision making.
The CEO is a person who worked his way up the ranks as well as the rest of the leadership team, very knowledgeable about the industry and we the company needs to do to maintain success.
Could stand to have more diversity and more inclusion of women into the workforce.
The people, there are some really great people that work here and are willing to help if you need the help.
REC seems to be in the industry average for wages in our area.
As we are revamping the facility which was shutdown few years ago, we really feel that we are working toward common goal which is to restart our facility successfully. We all feel responsible for our restart and work very hard to achieve it. This is great feeling that are rooted in our mindset. It's feeling of great accomplishment
Feels like we should be more generous in terms of compensation and incentives.
be able to work 9 hours per day and take every other Friday off and have 16 days of work from home which is pretty rare for chemical company
Our CEO clearly understands the situation we are in and share the challenges while at the same time sharing what can be done by us to achieve the better outcome. As an employee, we don't want just hear vision which may never happen. Kurt does really good job setting up clear expectation with us.
Have more social events so I can get to know more of other people in other team
I studied this new chemical industry and new terminology.
It's at par but growing competition, it should be more competitive.
As acquired by Hanwha, we have little more diversity in the office and facility.
Completing steps at facility to restart our production. Bring the dead machine into new lift.
Fantastic work environment filled with great people
unpaid lunch
1. There are lots of chances to make myself valuable in the working world. 2. Working environment is good in the point of view of people and safety. 3. I feel proud myself and my coworkers as a member of the renewable energy related material production.

The CEO's clear vision for the future of the silicon industry is inspiring. It’s motivating to work under leadership that is not just focused on the present, but also has a strong and innovative plan for the future.
Making the physical work environment more comfortable and engaging, perhaps with better ergonomic setups or relaxation zones, can make the daily work experience more enjoyable.
I started by thoroughly researching the company. I learned about its history, mission, products, and culture. Understanding the company’s goals and values helped me align my answers to demonstrate how I could contribute.
My base salary is aligned with, if not slightly above, what I see being offered for similar roles in the industry. The benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, is generous and on par with, or better than, what’s typically available in the industry
It’s genuinely encouraging to see a mix of people from various backgrounds and walks of life. This diversity in age, gender, ethnicity, and cultural backgrounds brings a wealth of perspectives that enriches our workplace.
I find great satisfaction in tackling challenges. Each new problem is an opportunity to learn and grow, and there’s a real sense of accomplishment when we find solutions and see the positive impact of our work.
- Engaging work environment with challenging projects - Strong company culture focused on sustainability and safety. - Opportunities for international collaboration and travel.
- The company's dependency on market conditions - Work hours may be affected by the time difference with major markets
My favorite perk is the access to nearby sports facilities (golf, swimming, skiing)
Their extensive experience and deep knowledge of the industry. They consistently demonstrate a commitment to transparency and openness, which fosters a sense of trust and alignment within the organization.
I would focus on fostering a more inclusive and collaborative environment. This could be achieved by implementing regular team-building activities and initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion.
I prepared examples from my previous work experience that highlighted my skills and qualifications relevant to the position.
I believe I am receiving an appropriate level of compensation at REC Silicon and am satisfied with it
This company is a place where everyone respects and is respected regardless of their background.
Taking ownership of my responsibilities and being appropriately rewarded for the outcomes.
Everyone is friendly and it is a great help to my career as it is a company that manufactures special gases
Because the location is rural, there is a lack of things to do after work or during leisure time.
I can learn process know-how such as silane gas production method and purification
It is good to know what the company is doing, such as company information and future plans shared every quarter.
I hope that all organizational members will work together to think and improve for the development of the company.
I have prepared information about the company and polysilicon-related information.
We are working without any major complaints at a similar level to the industry
Not much different from other companies, people of various races work regardless of gender or age
A sense of accomplishment gained from thinking about and solving a problem
I thought the pros of working REC Silicon is to catch the opportunity to experience growing of the company
In my experience, the cons of working at REC Silicon is a bad location, little bit too far from the big city.

The people and work environment.
This is the best place I've ever worked in my life. The people that work here are amazing, the pay and benefits are amazing as well. I always had a job that my roommate has lived everywhere, and I've worked everywhere so to say REC Silicon is the best place to work says a lot.
I love the Incent Fit program that pays employees for being active. This has really boosted my ambition to lose weight and I have lost 56 pounds working here in a year and a half. Even though I work in the office, I know this program has been my driving force.
The only con I can think of is combating gossip in the community. I've heard some crazy stories about our restart and non of it is true.
The CEO is super nice and very knowledgeable. I really like the managers here and they care about their employees and the difference we make in the world.
I think the best way to improve the culture is to continue to show the employees how much you care by going the extra miles. It's the small things in life that mater the most.
To be honest this was my dream job and I never thought it would happen to me. I practiced my interview and studied up on the plant.
When I applied to this position, I knew it would be a pay raise but didn't know it would be nearly as high as it is now. This is the most money I have ever made in my life and the bonuses are amazing as well.
I think REC Silicon does a really good job of hiring the best person for the job and supporting that person no matter their background. They hire the best to do the best and I really like that about them.
I love making a difference in the world and my coworkers. The opportunity to give back to the community I think is very important and very rewarding.

Training was a bit difficult to get through but it wasn't any "ones" fault. Due to the startup there wasn't really any help to be thought.
The different committees that we can be apart of. The fact that there is many different seats you can grow and learn within is a great opportunity that I would have never considered on my own.
The leaders in management are extremely knowledgeable, nice and inclusive.
I personally wouldn't change anything.
Researched the company. Tried to find out as much information as possible on the position I was Appling for
In reascent job searching nothing in the area pays or has the insurance REC does.
