Shift: 7am to 430pm
Pay: $19/hour
JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for loading and unloading all trucks.
Arranging shipments through UPS, Fed Ex, 3PL, and full truckload systems. Safely
packaging, crating, skidding, and protecting all outgoing shipments to ensure safe
transport to final destinations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Prepare bills of lading, reports shipping charges, and schedule all outgoing
shipments using parcel, LTL, and full truckload methods. Determines space
requirements and efficient loading of trucks
-Package all items using the approved NPC packaging methods and materials to
ensure integrity in transit.
-Verify All items to BOM, Pick List, and/or Packing slip prior to packaging for
shipment.
-Operate and inspect Material Handling Equipment to hoist shipments from the
shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Unloading and loading
of the flatbed, box, and container trucks.
- Maintain clean and well-organized shipping and receiving area to include the
outside area.
- Performs other duties assigned by Management
-Experience with Paint and Sand Blasting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Shipping & Receiving Associate must be able to stand and or sit for long periods of
time, be able to lift at least 75 pounds, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or
crouch, be able to reach all file cabinets and drawers, be able to talk hear and be
proficient with the English language in both verbal and written skills. Specific vision
requirements are to have close, distance, color, peripheral vision and the ability to
adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to use hands, fingers, handle or feel
objects, tools or controls.

Basic Function
Responsible for supporting the Inbound, Outbound, Inventory Control, and data input into the Warehouse Management system (WMS). The position requires excellent communication skills within internal/external customers. The position relies heavily on the execution and maintenance of all inventory transactions; ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures. To perform this job successfully, the candidate shall be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures, within a DC environment. This position relies on hands on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The qualified candidate must demonstrate excellent organization and detail oriented skills. He/she will be required to perform a variety of tasks under limited supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude
is required Responsible for the daily inventory reconciliation towards the end of shift. The inventory reconciliation is done daily and must reconcile all inventory transactions performed during the shift.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Prepare Inbound / Outbound documentation, Bill of Ladings (BOLs) for all Will-Call orders.
2. Validate inbound data in WMS to insure accurate receipt and update of the inventory data.
3. Maintain DC outbound notification system with the respective shipments.
4. Process and maintain records for all ship-confirmations.
5. Process all inventory transactions pertaining to item movement in the Distribution Center. (rummages, adjustments, item code changes, inbound and outbound transactions)
6. Maintain and update inventory database and generate inventory reports.
7. Maintain the inventory aging process by ensuring inventory reflects correct date codes and for report generation and submission to management.
8. Support and maintain daily cycle count process; reconcile discrepancies and maintains daily inventory transfers.
9. Process Cycle Counts and compile data to create performance reports (KPI).
10. Maintain locations control in the system to insure locations are properly assigned to the respective zones.
11. Assist with the Federal Express process by retrieving and saving order files.
12. Maintain filling process and provide adequate archive process.
13. Perform all other administrative and / or DC related duties as assigned. Analyze WMS Order Management Module to properly allocate and execute daily orders
14. Assist domestic transportation with daily capacity planning and ship routing

1. Receives and opens incoming shipments, verifies and accurately enters details of incoming shipments on purchase orders, into computer or RF unit to ensure accurate tracking of inventory. Visually inspects materials for damage, quantity, descriptions, part number, serial number, condition codes, etc. per FAA regulations and Duncan Aviation approved procedures.
2. Assigns priority of incoming units or tool to the appropriate shop and opens and/or creates work orders. Resolves discrepancies or omissions of information. Enters appropriate information into the computer to ensure accurate tracking of units. Prepares work orders as well as other documentation, and tags units for delivery.
3. Verifies purchase order numbers and lot numbers for single items requiring burn tests. Cuts samples from the material. Prepares burn samples and requisitions for submission to flammability vendor.
4. Prepares single item burn certification folders and other necessary documentation for filing. Tags units with status of the burn test results. Submits burn test results to Content Manager, the electronic imaging storage system.
5. Researches and accurately codes freight audit reports. Assists department in tracking of waybills and provides reports to appropriate team member(s) concerning billed freight expenses as requested.
6. Prepares parts shipments by inspecting and safely packaging parts, performing shipment entry (using FedEx, UPS and DHL electronic systems on-site), producing correct documentation and accurately coding shipping costs for billing. Builds crates for outgoing shipments.
7. Unloads and loads delivery trucks using Company forklifts in a safe and timely manner. Visually inspects materials for obvious damage, properly documents any damage(s), and notifies appropriate team member(s) of any damage.
8. Updates goods-in-transit logs to determine status of shipments and re-opens or voids previous records when appropriate.
9. Maintains accurate and timely records regarding packing slips, certifications and waybills for both incoming and outgoing packages. Copies and attaches proper documentation to incoming items. Uses the Content Manager to upload appropriate documentation.
10. Coordinates emergency shipments with appropriate carrier according to Duncan Aviation approved procedures as necessary.
11. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Job Specific Requirements
- Licenses/Certificates: Shipping & Receiving Auditor designation; Forklift Certification eligible; Hazardous Materials Shipping Certification eligible
