We are seeking a Material Handler Team Lead to support government operations in the National Capital Region (NCR). The Material Handler Team Lead will oversee daily material handling and building support services at federal government agency facilities. This position requires leadership, operational coordination, and compliance with federal procedures. The Team Lead will serve as the primary liaison with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), ensuring timely resolution of issues, maintaining records, and supporting operational requirements across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities Meet with the COR as required to maintain satisfactory contract performance and address issues related to government/contractor procedures. Prepare meeting minutes within two (2) workdays, ensuring accuracy and proper distribution. Provide building support services including: Office furniture assembly/disassembly, relocation, repair, and inspection. Office equipment handling (computers, monitors, copiers, etc.). Refilling/replacing hand sanitizers and basic building support tasks. Conference room set-up and help desk support. Perform light carpentry work and TV mounting as needed for office and facility setups. Manage transportation of excess furniture and supplies from federal government agency facilities within a 100-mile radius of the NCR to designated GSA warehouses. Lead and oversee material handling staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety and compliance standards. Qualifications Previous experience in material handling, facilities support, or logistics leadership. Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to prepare clear written reports. Ability to coordinate with government representatives and resolve operational issues. Familiarity with furniture assembly/disassembly, warehouse operations, and inventory management. Valid driver's license and ability to travel within a 100-mile radius of NCR. Must be able to obtain and maintain any required federal clearances. Preferred Skills Experience supporting GSA or other federal government agencies. Supervisory or team lead experience in logistics or facilities management. Materials Handler Supervisor Part-Time, Seasonal Now - Mid June The Materials Handler Supervisor oversees and coordinates all activities related to the movement, storage, accuracy, and distribution of materials within warehouse, stockroom, and fulfillment environments. This role ensures that materials handling operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational standards and service-level expectations. The supervisor provides direct leadership to materials handling operations staff, setting clear performance expectations and maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity. Responsibilities include monitoring daily workflows, assigning tasks, training team members, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring proper use of material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other lifting devices. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and adherence to standardized processes. The Materials Handler Supervisor collaborates closely with management and fulfillment teams to support operational goals, resolve logistical issues, and drive continuous improvement.
