Duties and Responsibilities:
Supporting the IT Asset Management Program, appoint a Dedicated Inventory Management Lead whose responsibilities shall include:
Develop, manage, coordinate, and conduct all inventory management operations for receiving, warehousing, shipping, disposal, fulfillment, and distribution of IT equipment
Maintain accurate documentation and asset records to ensure and enforce accurate and clear chain of custody, conducting near real-time updates to ensure inventory accuracy and audit readiness;
Conduct regular asset record and physical inventory reconciliations, causative research, audits, and inspections to verify asset condition, location, ownership, status
Resolve inventory management discrepancies and proactively report issues or risks to the appropriate equipment owner
Develop and oversee inventory management procedures, controls, and standards to include: warehouse security, safety, and workflow optimization to support efficient, effective, and accurate lifecycle handling from receipt through disposal
Develop, manage, and report monthly inventory management performance (e.g., receiving, shipping, deployment, disposal), ensuring effective controls, continuous improvement, and stakeholder coordination across all inventory management functions
Develops, manages, and reports annual inventory strategy and execution
Ensure stock fulfillment and distribution using first-in, first-out principles, validating utilization of surplus or stagnant equipment prior to any new procurements, and coordinating owner authorization before allocation or deployment
Secure Equipment at the loading dock within sixty (60) minutes of its arrival
Within three (3) Business Days of its arrival at the DDC loading dock
Perform asset tagging activities in accordance with Client Policies
Inspect and report shipping discrepancies to the Oversight Manager when identified
Proficiency with IT asset management software, inventory management, and data analysis tools like Microsoft Excel
Qualifications
Education and Years of Experience:
Educational background: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
Proficiency with IT asset management software, inventory management, and data analysis tools like Microsoft Excel
A minimum of 7 years of experience performing IT hardware asset management functions and responsibilities in a large enterprise.
Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management and software license management is crucial.
Ability to quickly resolve unexpected IT challenges.
Additional Requirements: Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance.
