AGS is looking for an Shipping and Receiving Team Leader to join our dynamic organization. This role is located in our Sterling South plant.

Aids the supervisor and materials with customer support. Aids the supervisor in management of inbound and outbound shipments. Aids materials and fellow shipping team members with warehouse organization. Leads shipping team members in the successful completion of all of the above.

Key Accountabilities

* Manage S&R hourly teams and/or contractors within BTR Warehouse
* SPA for other local warehouse operations
* Management of on-site 3rd party contractors staffing the shipping office
* Ensure all employees are trained through the DACA (documented, accountable, competent, assured) process. Set clear expectations and provide performance feedback semi- annually for hourly personnel.
* Focus on HSSE ensuring safe, reliable operations by exhibiting and promoting safety leadership.
* Ensure quality product in line with BP lubes global quality manual and standards. Achieved through the application of rigorous and disciplined quality management practices, processes and procedures to ensure compliance to BP and industry standards.
* Daily and Weekly KPI reporting for Warehouse performance.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives with engagement from the workforce.
* Build ways of working with many different functions within the Supply Chain to achieve goals.
* Provide assurance of compliance to procedures / work instructions through auditing
* Responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of the warehouse areas to maintain a safe working environment utilizing 5S techniques.
* Ensures MOC (Management of Change) process is strictly adhered to for all changes.
* OMS Compliance as a Risk Owner and/or Action Owner and/or Risk Advisor accountable for assigned risk assurance and management responsibilities as defined in OMS 3.1 Lubricants Global Risk Assessment and Management Process Roles and Responsibilities procedure (Doc. No: 18749) which is maintained in the OMS Online 3.1 Process Toolbox.

Essential Education:

Bachelor's degree in business or Supply Change Management from accredited university or relevant degree with minimum of 2 to 5 years overall in Shipping or Warehouse Management role.

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

Experience covering aspects of Shipping and Distribution operations related to daily management is required. Leadership experience in manufacturing and distribution environment is required.

Education- College degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred. Industrial Relations skills, Training and Development experience an asset.

OMS Compliance as a Task Owner, Task Supervisor, APS Owner and/or Subject Matter Expert (SPA) is responsible for maintaining full compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements associated with job accountabilities.

Must have an up to date TWIC card to work in the Port Allen, La plant.

Participates in the Port Allen ICS (incident Command Structure) as a Team member on the ICS Team in the role defined per the Facility Response Plan.

Shipping & Receiving Team Leader - Rome, NY

Full-time1st shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm - occasional overtime.Pay: $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
The Shipping & Receiving Warehouse - Team Leader will perform a variety of routine shipping, receiving, production and housekeeping tasks. Shipping tasks include picking, packaging and shipment of orders. Receiving tasks include loading and unloading truck shipments and stocking the warehouse shelves. Production tasks include material handling, machine operation, labeling and packaging of product.

SHIPPING:

• Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with the pick ticket and customer requirements.
• Check inventory to verify availability of needed stock.
• Notify the Supervisor of shortages.
• Package and ship in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices.
• Maintain product stock in work area.
• Stock shelves in the warehouse.
• Monitor packaging material supplies and notify the Supervisor when materials get to the restocking point.
• Other duties, as assigned.

RECEIVING:

• Receive and unload incoming material and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipment.
• Sort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is received.
• Inspect shipments for damages, loss, or defects, and notify the Supervisor of findings.
• Responsible for accurately receiving reporting, and distributing purchased items.
• Stock shelves in the warehouse.
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading material and equipment.
• Operate shrink-wrap machine.
• Other duties, as assigned

MISCELLANEOUS DUTIES:

• Daily cycle counts.
• Maintains finished area products.
• Cleans all area.
• Other duties, as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Effective communication/comprehension skills – verbal and written.
• Math Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to operate a forkfilt - Training available

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day 5 days/wk.
• Duties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and arms to spaces both high and low.
• The employee will be standing, walking, climbing, balancing, lifting, holding or stooping while on the shift.
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly as needed with or without assistance.
