Job Description:
The Peer Recovery Specialist assists consumers with articulating personal goals for recovery as well as teaching consumers problem solving skills, how to identify and combat negative self talk, and how to identify and overcome fears.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities for: This title does not supervise others.
Assist consumers in determining reasonable and holistic steps moving into recovery and identifying barriers to recovery goals.
Assist consumers with identifying personal strengths in daily living and recovery skills.
Assist non-consumer staff in identifying program elements that are supportive or destructive to recovery.
Facilitate evidence based protocol work.
Engage patients in exercise/physical activity.
Regular and Reliable attendance is required.

Key Performance Indicators:
Accurate and timely processing of documentation.
Meet or exceed individual billing goals.
Timely and professional responses to consumers and non-consumers.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
All other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Self identify as a current or former consumer. Must be maintaining healthy recovery.

United is a leader in the repossession and remarketing industry. Our success has been built on providing exceptional service to our clients, many of whom are some of the largest lenders in the United States. By utilizing the latest technology and investing in the development of our associates, United has experienced continued growth since our inception in 1973 . We currently operate out of 40+ branches across the nation and are looking to expand our footprint into more locations soon.

Our Repossession Agents are equipped with all of the tools that they need to be successful. United offers Agent training, a brand-new fleet of state of the art trucks, and the latest technological tools that have been custom designed to assist our Agents in maximizing their earning potential and performance. Our newly hired Repossession Agents will experience intensive training at our corporate headquarters in Memphis, TN (travel, meals, and accommodation are covered by United). During the five day training, you will meet with internal operations that will serve as your support while in the field. You will experience hands on training in a classroom environment and in the field. In the classroom, you will get a better understanding of this position and the tools you will use to succeed. In the field, you will run routes with our Field Operations Manager - seeing first hand the role of a Repossession Agent.

Required Experience:

What we are looking for:

+ A self-starter with the drive and discipline to perform successfully under limited supervision.

+ An individual with basic mechanical skill. Don't worry we'll teach you all you need to know about strapping up a car.

+ A naturally curious soul. Someone who is willing to dig-in and take the extra step necessary to achieve success.

+ An excellent communicator. Information is power and the ability to clearly communicate the knowledge makes you a power-player in the field.

What you need:

+ A high school diploma or equivalent.

+ Be 23 years of age or older with a clean driving record to be approved by our insurance.

+ The ability to pass a DOT Physical.
