Deni Carise, Ph.D is a Clinical Psychologist and part of the recovery community for over 35 years. She is currently Chief Science Officer at Recovery Centers of America and an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine. She has been affiliated with UPENN since completing a NIDA Post-Doctoral fellowship at the Center for Studies of Addiction in the Department of Psychiatry from 1994-1996. Her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology is from Drexel University. Dr. Carise is currently Chief Scientific Officer of Recovery Centers of America (RCA), a company whose goal is to get 1,000,000 American’s sober and into meaningful recovery. RCA, a start-up company, offers detoxification, residential, partial hospital, intensive and traditional outpatient and family services in 5 locations in MA, PA, NJ and MD. She was previously Deputy Chief Clinical Officer of CRC Health Group, a system with over 100 Behavioral Health programs in 25 states and Chief Clinical Officer for Phoenix House, a leading non-profit with 100+ treatment programs.She has worked extensively internationally, with treatment providers in Nigeria, Mexico, Thailand, Egypt, Greece, Singapore, Brazil, and China and numerous other countries to help develop national systems that integrate scientifically-validated tools into clinical treatment.Dr. Carise has presented over 150 lectures by invitation (approximately 35 internationally) in the past 15 years.
