SUMMARY
In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of a Department Director keep designated buildings and grounds in clean and orderly condition for occupants by performing the following duties.
Hours:
FT: Monday, Tuesday, Friday-Sunday 8:30am to 4:30pm
CORE FUNCTIONS
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs, offices and client spaces.
Ensures that exteriors of buildings and grounds are kept clean and free of ice and snow.
Inventories janitorial supplies and reorders as appropriate.
Assists maintenance and custodian crew as required.
Performs miscellaneous errands as directed.
Reports damaged ceiling tiles, wall defects and lighting outages.
Respond to alarm calls and emergencies.
Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Qualifications

Provide Rapid Rehousing case management to clients impacted by gun and gang violence and the criminal justice system who are literally homeless or experiencing housing instability and may have challenges with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues by performing the following duties.

Provide Rapid Rehousing case management for up to 15 households.
Assess the individual's safety, finances, employment and level of functioning.
Assertively links individuals to community resources and other natural supports.

Develops and documents person centered housing plans and update monthly.

Qualifications
CORE COMPETENCIES

The Clinical Coordinator for the Tina Klem Serenity House Program is responsible for overseeing the delivery of comprehensive clinical services to individuals aged eighteen (18) or older with serious and persistent psychiatric disorders, or co-occurring serious psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders. This role involves coordinating admissions, clinical interventions, case management, discharge planning, and establishing collaborative relationships within the behavioral health service system.

CORE FUNCTIONS

The lead Clinician provides general direction and supervision to case managers and clinical staff. Manage an assigned caseload of clients while working with First Step's multidisciplinary team. This role is critical in ensuring that services are delivered safely, effectively, and compassionately. This role requires a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about helping individuals through the challenging process of withdrawal management. The Lead Clinician will play a key role in the recovery process and work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide the best care possible to those affected by addiction.
The Lead Clinician will collaborate with the Nurse Service Coordinator and Program Director to provide supervision and education and ensure compliance with FS protocols and procedures, coordinate and conducts documented face-to-face clinical supervision a minimum of one hour each week for clinical staff. New Prospects - located in Bridgeport, Connecticut is uniquely positioned to offer gender-specific co-occurring enhanced intensive residential services to adult men and women. This program is designed to provide services for individuals who are experiencing difficulties stabilizing their substance abuse and mental health issues and seek short-term intensive treatment of approximately 30 days.
HOURS
Rotating Weekends: Saturday & Sunday from 7:00 am - 1:00 pm
CORE FUNCTIONS
Delegates, manages aspects of care to LPN, consistent with their level of education and expertise to meet clients' needs and to maximize staff performance.
Conduct an alcohol or other drug focused nursing assessment.
Oversees Nursing schedule to ensure appropriate coverage.
Assists Medical provider by transcribing orders in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to detail.
Observe and documents the self-administration of prescribed controlled and non-controlled medications and when medically indicated administer medications to treat psychiatric, substance abuse and medical issues in accordance with approved nursing techniques, program policies and procedures and applicable federal and state regulations.
Verifies, updates, records and files doctors' orders, dosage levels and laboratory results in client records.
Maintain correctly stocked medication inventory, ensure safety of medications/supplies, keep an accurate log of reports of medications.
Observes clients, records significant conditions and reactions, manages, and notifies supervisor or physician of any changes in client's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents. Documents refusal of medication(s) and all PRNs which are administered during shift.
Provide medical education for clients served within the co-occurring enhanced intensive residential treatment program on an individual basis as needed and in groups periodically.
Engages in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of co-occurring disorders to remain current in the field.
Forward all individual Kardex's to counselors for filing at the end of each month.
Obtains PPD records and/or administers PPD to clients and maintains record of client.
Qualifications
CORE COMPETENCIES
Registered Nurse (RN) recognized in the State of Connecticut. Previous experience in opiate treatment programming, co-occurring programming or similar community-based behavioral health organization preferred.
Ability to provide caring and compassionate care.
Specialized judgment, skill in observation, care, and counseling of clients with co-occurring disorders.
Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding client confidentiality.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to project a professional image.
Evaluates patient's response to interventions and revises nursing plan of care as needed. Collaborates with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives, and interventions appropriate to the changes in patient status.
Performs appropriate assessments of clients per policy and identifies physical, psychosocial, cultural needs to provide individualized care of the client.
Provides direct patient care according to physician's order and appropriate protocols as evidenced by documentation in patient's medical record.
Evaluates and recognizes changes in patients' physical and psychosocial status and revises the plan of care as necessary.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to behavioral health clients and to interact with the interdisciplinary team to achieve the desired outcomes for clients.

First Step (Residential Detoxification Program) This is a highly structured inpatient medically monitored detoxification program, located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This program offers individual counseling, group therapy, case management, referral services for continuing care, and medical management. First Step is a CARF accredited, DPH licensed 27 bed residential detox unit for individuals aged 18 and over struggling with addiction to alcohol, opiates and/or benzodiazepines.
HOURS: Per diem as needed, including weekends and holidays
CORE FUNCTIONS
Conducts screening, intake, orientation, and assessment of clients to obtain information concerning substance abuse and medical history or other pertinent information.
Implements therapeutic treatment using approved methods of planning, counseling, case management and crisis intervention to assist clients in overcoming substance abuse disorders and other problems.
Consult with a medical doctor or other specialists concerning the treatment plan and amend the plan as directed.
Provides information and education to individuals and groups concerning substance abuse and mental health and available services and resources.
Refers clients to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling.
Assists with direct client care, including safety checks, laundry, passing meals, conducting smoke breaks, etc.
Prepares and maintains records on assigned caseload and issues reports.
Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Qualifications
CORE COMPETENCIES
Master's degree in the behavioral sciences and two (2) years experience in counseling preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LCSW/LADC/LPC/LMFT or license eligible within two years of hire date.
